Jakks Pacific unveils EyeClops mini projector for the little ones
We see a ton of tiny little projectors these days around here. This one, by toymaker Jakks Pacific, is still pretty eye-catching, anyway. Expected to be on hand next week at the Toy Industry Association's annual International Toy Fair in New York, the EyeClops is obviously designed with children in mind, with a build similar to adult picos. We don't have full specs on this one yet, but it's capable of projecting a 70-inch images via its LED, and can be hooked up to all your child's favorite gadgets -- DVD players, digital cameras, and gaming consoles. The real kicker here is that the EyeClops is expected to sell for under $100 -- much less than most projectors for oldies.

Hal 9000 and the Death Star just had a baby.
I was just thinking that it looked like a tie fighter

When I was a little kid, my mother told me not to stare into the sun...
Wow that is a really good price. It wont be HD and the quality probably wont be THAT great but this would be nice to have for splitscreen Halo sessions. The 20 extra inches might be enough to sacrifice HD quality. Plus it's only a 100 dollars.
Am I the only one considering getting this for myself and not for a young person?
Not at all. I would like to know the specs, however pre-buy.
Nope.
I'am also tempted lol
Yep, you're the only one. The rest of us, who _are_ young people, are looking at getting these for ourselves and not for a child.
Nice, but does it do holo images of princess leiya while beeping a lot?
Will it work?
Will It Blend?
Everything blends. Except Chuck Norris.
So it's not funny or witty to ask the question anymore, because blendtec have done so well at proving that other than the man who waits himself, there's nothing they cannot tackle.
This would be great for as in car projection system with my reverse hinged hood, :D
Drive in theater EVERYWHERE!
and since its Jakks Pacific you know it will come packaged with a 2 WWE Wrestling action figures.
Or on peg hook at WalMart in a plastic bubble pack that is impossible to open without breaking it.
At this price it is pretty obvious that projectors will rival other displays in the living room in the near future. Small enough as to not be visible when not in use (I don't like the look of televisions). Their only real difficult hurdle will be in becoming bright enough for daytime use.
Transformers! - Moar than meets the eye!
this will be their 3rd product named eyeclops, wtf.
Was this plucked from the Megatron in the recent movie? Sure looks like one of his eyes.
SWEET!
