Cowon L3 officially announced (for Asia)
We saw this one coming quite a while back, but it looks like the Cowon L3 satnav / PMP is officially official now. We stil haven't got full specs on this baby yet, but the 7-incher's got a 700x480 resolution, an unnamed dual core CPU, 128MB of SDRAM, 4GB of memory, an SD Slot, and GPS, and a fuel consumption indicator. We don't have any specific information as to availability -- though it's unlikely it'll ever get anywhere near North America -- or pricing yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we do!
Update: Full specs at the read link now on Cowon's site!

WTF! Glossy screen, no copy paste, no removable battery? Forget it!!
Why would you need copy paste on a GPS/Personal Media Player ?
Does the letters in 'Cowon' looks similar to 'Apple' ? Even if you read them backwards, there's no common letter between them.
Are you nutz? or snacks?
This is not a phone moron, also Cowon has the very best battery in the industry. My Cowon A2 can play 10 hours of video playback, any other play can only do like 25 to 50%.
That's the dealbreakers, the big showstopper is Windows CE 5.0. Not COWON at it's best.
2nd~~~
Korea is the best country~!!!!!!!
Cowon is awesome....
800x480 not 700x480
It's not official if there are no accompanying models for Engadget readers to drool over.
Wow. Throw away PSP. Cancel Vaio P purchase order. Enjoy!
Wow ,7" touchscreen, will this kill the iPod touch only $229???
This 229? Loads better than Ipod touch
They go through all this shit to make a big player to have everything you want but they only put a measly 4gigs, in it, wtf. one high def movie, yea yea you got the slot to add more but not much more. only 32GB extra
I know, really? 8, 16, or 32 gigs seems more like it.
Knowing cowon, though, higher capacities will probably be released in its lifetime before it is replaced.
how does something this big not have wifi....
Because a GPS/PMP doesn't need WiFi...
i love cowon products. my first product i had of theirs was the 128MB! Cw200
Hey Engadget,
I got your 7-incher right here!

Hey Engadget,
I got a funny one here!
They have to bump up that storage madness for me to consider this. Jeez can the price of flash storage increase and then drop at the same time? what's with the multiples of 4 and the limit of 32 these days?
