Amex Digital's SP-7 digiframe doubles as a printer
Although Amex Digital's SP-7 can't claim to be the first digital photo frame with an inbuilt printer, it's certainly among the first to ever pull it off for under two bills. The basic specs include a 7-inch 800 x 480 resolution display, a multicard reader, USB connectivity, integrated speakers, adjustable brightness, a mini remote and support for both audio and video files. Curiously enough, Amex doesn't even bother explaining what size prints this thing shoots out, where to find replacement paper and how to initiate printing. But, as we alluded to earlier, it's just $199, so don't be shocked to end up figuring all this out on our own.

Rather a scanner
Ok, bad grammars.. I would rather have one with a scanner.
Because that's really important in a photoframe.
One with a scanner and a printer in it so you can feed normal photos in and display them + display photos from your digital camera, then are able to printout copies for your friends would be really nifty.
Maybe I wouldn't appeal to your typical glued-to-your-keyboard-engadget-reader, but it would be a neat development of the digital frame idea.
#1 this is a bad idea because once its used a couple of times, people won't wanna keep feeding it ink at $20 or more per cartridge.
#2 Some company should focus on designing a laptop bag with a built in printer for regular letter/legal sized paper that costs less than $100. Targeting students or office people.
Because people don't refill their printers at home?
Assuming most people are smarter than you (very easy to do by the way), they would know ahead of time that yes, I will have to buy ink and paper for this, and that is something I'm prepared to do. Sure, maybe there is a novelty factor here... but this is no different than buying a small photo only printer. And those have sold quite well, and people still buy the ink and paper for them. This is basically a small portable photo sized printer, with a huge screen on it.
And if the half dozen or so small portable printers that have been featured in articles here in Engadget for the last 6 months haven't been any indication to you that there is a market for this type of device, then you should just mind your P's and Q's and go drive into a wall with your "Mercedes".
Agent?
If your so smart, why aren't you rich?
How were you are able to deduce a financial status for me? I'm inclined to believe that this was an attempt at wit on your part. Since you most certainly hold no special clairvoyance into the state of peoples financial affairs.
Shame on you.
Oh, and its "you're" not "your". Not too smart for a teacher, are you?
Looks like a ZINK printer to me...
Not a horrible idea at all... I think the frustration would come when every other person who walks by presses the PRINT button out of curiousity and amusement... then that's when it will start costing you.
This looks useful...wait, no it doesn't
i fail to see the need.
The flowers in the photo are called naked ladies.
