Keepin' it real fake, part CLXXXIV: NOKLA E81 is a dash of this, a dash of that
No, friends -- what you see above isn't a poor spy spot of an unannounced handset sure to be unveiled in just hours at Mobile World Congress. And yes, that's despite the fact that there is still room for an E81 in Nokia's ever-expanding lineup. In reality, this shoddy impostor is some sort of NOKLA, which appears to be a distasteful combination of XpressMusic, the N79 and the 6208 classic (among others, we imagine). The good news is that it sports dual SIM slots, a quad-band GSM radio and a 2.8-inch touchscreen. The bad worse news is that you probably won't even be able to read the menus after dropping $86.50 and bringing this home.

I just finished watching Code Geass R2. Why the hell did Lelouch have to die! He should have lived. I feel so depressed now.
Looks good for 90 though
Lelouch isnt dead, he was driving the carriage :)
I hope your right. But the creator said otherwise. But I guess I'll stick with what you(and many others) said, since it makes me feel better LOL.
Feh.
I suppose it's okay if you want a touchscreen phone for less than a hundred dollars. Or if you have no dignity.
Actually there already is a $100 touch screen phone out there. The LG Voyager. But thats with contract and this is probably without
for $90, i'd give this a shot. worst case, i scrap it for parts and make my own frankenphone
Worst case the battery explodes in your pants.
the best part of these knockoffs are the brand names i think. "sumsang"? "nokla"?
awesome, i say.
Does it run a hacked proprietary OS or is it some kind of custom Chinese crap?
xnay on the Chinese crapay
thumbs up from me on the roman numerals. (don't ask) ;)
I dunno. That looks an awful lot like Windows Mobile Phone Edition. And I have as of yet to see a PE phone with a touch screen. Of course I've been wrong before.
It doesn't look half bad, honestly. Didn't Nokia release a phone similar to this in the Chinese market?
what is up with every single KIRF phone sporting dual sim-card slots?
is it even really that useful? how many people can say they pay TWO phone bills and only have ONE phone?!?
Well some people have a work phone and a personal phone. Dual sims allow you to use both numbers and send and recieve calls without carrying two phones. Its great to use if your work uses phones with sim cards.
I think most of the KIRFs are made by the same company and they keep the inside of the phone the same and only change the outside. So after they made the first one with dual SIM slots they just copied it again and again.
An obvious giveaway for this company's KIRFs are the icons on the bottom of the screen, They have been using the same screeen for a long time. some examples:

The middle one is a Nokia N73 clone so it's probably about 3 years old and i bet it's exactly the same as this one on the inside. KIRF companies aren't too famous for their R&D.
fail
oh my GOD its even got s SYMBIAN MENY KEY !
Could fooled me (almost) if it weren't for Internet Explorer. Heh
