Dell hasn't made an announcement, but it turns out that
CEOs love spilling each others' secrets -- and to that end, AT&T Mobility CEO Ralph de la Vega has just mentioned during a Mobile World Congress panel that Dell has "announced they're entering the smartphone market." Maybe he got a bit confused about the announcement date or time -- or perhaps he's confusing the
countless rumors with official details -- but either way, all eyes should be on Round Rock, Texas for the next few hours (or days, or weeks, or months) to see if anything shakes out.
I hope it actually doesnt look like has been shown here...
Of course not >.< It's just a joke photoshop
Yee-Hah, here we go with Dell, my favorite computer company, now my favorite Phoen company, :D!
Yee-Hah, here we go! Now my favorite computer company is now my favorite phone company, :D!
I‘ll be extremely interested about it, if it is true that we can customize the parts of the Dell phone. A high performance smartphone without camera is what I really need.
they better create something good, cuz the competition is really hard out there, if they want to get respected they better blow peoples mind with this one
Hey, great maybe they will take my 51v for a trade in. Because they stopped supporting it... hahah Not!
Oh goodie! First we have "dellified" computers (with crippled hardware components), and now we'll have to put up with "dellified" smartphones?!?!
Engadget you rock!
I'm absolutely certain this is true. I know some people who were working on a music player for Dell, and they were pulled off the project because Dell was working on something else. It was obvious to me what that was at the time.
i love the fact that AT&T will probably dump the iPhone all together for this, thank you!
I'm actually curious to see what Dell has up their sleeves for a smartphone. Hopefully it's designed by the same people that did the Adamo and new Studio XPS laptops! mmMMmmm...
iAXIM FTW
WOOO!! I really hope this plays out, and since Dell owns Alienware, is it possible to release a phone modeled after that line of computers? Because that would be freaking awesome.....
So Dell stopped making Axioms (PDAs) so they could make smartphone? I don't understand the point. Why not develop the kick ass PDA into a phone instead?
