Toshiba's Qosmio X305-Q725, which was
unveiled amidst a flurry of other gizmos at CES, boasts the same incredibly controversial motif as the higher-end
X305-Q708, but with an MSRP of $2,700 (versus $4,200 on the Q708), it's at least a wee bit more affordable. The benchmarking crew over at
HotHardware decided to put this newer, marginally more affordable iteration to the test in order to see if it still performed under pressure, and by and large, it did. While it couldn't go toe-to-toe with higher-end desktops, the GeForce 9800M GTX GPU, quad-core processor and SSD helped it to blaze through everyday tasks and hold its own in the gaming arena. Our biggest issue is the omission of a 1,920 x 1,200 display, but we suppose that's why there's the

Yet another tooshitty piece of crap Quasimotto. I'm here to remind everyone what a horrible and problematic line of computers this is. And that Tooshitty's customer support parsed out through serviceNet $uck$ a$$ and doesn't do its line of firestarting, overheating, ugly laptops any justice. I've had the pleasure of many Tooshitty's Quasimottos. You'd think I'd learn my lesson, but alas I shelled out for the painful extended warranty which just prolonged my suffering. System board after system board, dead fan after dead fan. Go with anyone else but them. Sony, Acer, HP, DELL, Samsung, Sharp, Apple or even their Satellite line. All the aforementioned I've had few to little problems. But every Tooshitty Quasimotto: a complete failure, never ever again!
ugly and unaffordable, anyone who wants gaming on the cheap, needs to look no further than the ASUS G50vt and the Gateway FX laptops

Good Lord! Did Toshiba bring Huggy Bear out of retirement to design this? The only thing missing is Zebra skin wrist rests. If you lose a death match on this hideous thing, a big man ring wearing hand probably pops out of the screen and bitch slaps you.
I can't believe people are calling this notebook "ugly". First off, it is a GAMING beast machine, so its not supposed to be some girly "Hello Kitty" netbook. In either case, Beast-like machines are supposed to look somewhat ugly (cool ugly, but not silly ugly), so thats a good thing, not a bad thing. As for me, I cannot get my eyes off this picture.
it is "cool ugly" but i just think the color red does not really suit the laptop itself. Imagine a guy carrying this laptop on the street..It's weird.
First Off,
the Series Qosmio, really isn't that bad...as I, myself own one, with a number of other laptops.
Second, You can't possibly tell me that Alienware cases look nice >.<
Third, This is pretty horrendous but that doesn't mean its a pos. Whatever happened to not judging a book by its cover? lmao...
Bottom Line - The Qosmio Line isn't horrible but this design looks pretty awful.
