The looks are changed for the simple reason that this is what people want. Car manufacturers update their models periodically with new looks (some more radical than others, mind) in order to generate demand so why would you not expect the same of computer manufacturers. This is hardly limited to Apple.
more likely it depends... however unless the pretty girl is freak it doesn't really matter as long as she's skilled... after awhile with a few drinks here and there you can't even tell if she's cute or unattractive anymore.
