MyRacer's lisse T10 PMP subtly takes a hint from iriver's SPINN
MyRacer's lisse S10 was too simple to really attribute any level of knockoff status to it, but there's little doubt that the company's lisse T10 took a lesson or two in design from iriver's SPINN. For whatever reason, the SPINN seems to be quite popular in the KIRF circuit, and while the T10 is still different enough to keep it from being the next in our growing list of blatant rips, we're definitely not giving MyRacer any innovation credits here. All that aside, this here PMP is said to feature a 2.8-inch display (320 x 240), 2GB / 4GB of internal capacity, support for a litany of audio and video file formats, a built-in FM tuner and recorder, a text reader and support for an undocumented list of "games." There's no word on a price or release date, but we wouldn't count on it drifting far from its home nation of South Korea.

Finally some innovation. A built-in aquarium!
Where are these things sold? I see a lot of reporting on products like this, but I never see them offered in retail. Are they only available online and via non-chain resellers?
Oh no, you can easily find them displayed in the windows of all electronics stores in Shenzen, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Manila; on the open air markets of Vladivostok, Port Moresby, Port Blair and Dhaka; and the best of them even make it to the commercial areas of Hong Kong, Taipei and Okinawa.
It's funny how these KIRF companies can manage to support more file formats than the iPod can manage to...
Hell, they support more than the Zune, and I own one. It's really sad how a knockoff manages to do what the original device can't. Well, in some cases, anyway. Not really too applicable to this one...
hey thats awesome !
i luv goldfish
Please, please, PLEASE: stop with this ridicolous habit of claiming that one touch screen slab has been copied from another one.
The latest LG phones are indistinguishable from Samsung's if you remove the logo , but so what? The important differences are to be found in the way they perform, the features they offer and their UI (among other things).
All laptop look the same when they are closed (and mostly when they are open and powered too), so bloody what?
All washing machines, tyres, dvd players, external HD, USB keys, etc, etc, are practically identical: do you think that means that the companies that produce these things copy each other?
Stop being silly.
Moreover this Lisse S10 is less similar to iRiver's SPINN than the iPhone was similar to LG Armani phone when it first came out.
How do you expect touch screens to look like? Triangular? Spherical? Giv's a break.
+over 9000 for you, sir
They weren't claiming it was the touchscreen slab that copied the spinn. They were claiming it was the little spinny Stick wheel thing.
You copied the English language!!!
Another brilliant "bent" design. Call the guy who liked the stupid "chin" on the G1 and tell him his iRipOff is ready.
It looks like a dyslexic G1.
