LG unveils 42- and 47-inch Bluetooth LH70 HDTVs in Korea
Watch out, world -- LG's got two new Scarlet sets comin' atcha, and both of them sport integrated Bluetooth. The LH70 line will (at least initially) consist of two models, a 42- (39.7mm thin) and a 47-incher (40.9mm thin). Each set will feature a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 120Hz technology, 2 millisecond response time, a USB port for connecting external media, a touch sensitive power button, DivX compatibility and an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust screen brightness in order to best fit the room and conserve energy. Per usual, there's nary a mention of price, availability or percentage chance that these make it out of South Korea, but we'll be keeping an eye out.

FIRST... to click your low rank button.
excuse me sir but is that sonic i see??
That was record FAIL.
Finally. some hotter display models... oh and the TV's nice too.
There not Asian for a change.
If you're going to be xenophobic, at least learn your own language.
Not entirely sure why you assume someone's native language is English. Especially with a username like Eltorro.
Yo quiero Taco Bell. Does that please you?
Finally. some hotter display models... oh and she's nice too.
I'll take two.
You can keep the TV though.
honestly... i just saw the picture and haven't read anything... went straight to the comments... that picture is hot! ... and I am lonely.... :(
I love reading the comments on these posts. I could care less about the article itself ;)
makes me think of a tune..
"ohhhhh.. to make your brown eye turn blue..."
Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue - Crystal Gayle
Don't know when I've been so blue
Don't know what's come over you
You've found someone new
And don't it make my brown eyes blue
I'll be fine when you're gone
I'll just cry all night long
Say it isn't true
And don't it make my brown eyes blue
Tell me no secrets, tell me some lies
Give me no reasons, give me alibis
Tell me you love me and don't make me cry
Say anything but don't say goodbye
I didn't mean to treat you bad
Didn't know just what I had
But, honey, now I do
And don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes blue
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes blue
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes blue
Wow was there a TV in that picture? I didn't see...
I'll let her push my button.
That's a glory hole.
I see London, I see France, ...
i think this nerd just jizzed his pants.
Smart ass, that was a great rejoinder...
@smart......skeet, skeet!
@smart a$$: +1
i ate a grape and i...
Aren't all power buttons touch sensitive?
no, they're "press sensitive"
She can push my button like that anytime...
but seriously doesn't anyone else think this design ugly?
This looks like a big ugly computer monitor! (though don't get me wrong, there are some nice looking computer monitors too)
Some of U.S. last year has the same exactly design, except its contrast ratio is much much lower. But the PQ it look better than Sony and Samsung side by side in store. The design is unique and sleek, look like Iron Man alike design, big bush botton in the center, and red color...
It looks like shes poking the belly button of a really fat dude and enjoying it sooo much.
One could hope :)
I find it extremely sad that everytime there's a story on engadget featuring some hot model I already know that there will be more comments about her than about the thing she's trying to present.
Well, as I see it there 2 possibilities here:
1- you're a girl.
2-you're gay.
and since we all know option 1 is out of the question...
Dude, I could not agree more. It's not that I have a problem with finding women attractive. I'm guilty of doing that on a regular basis. It's that the comments are more predictable and less original than ieye's comments about apple products.
It is smart marketing on their part don't you think. What are four things to a guys heart hot babes, sports, fancy electronics, and food, combine any three like a hot babe displaying a fancy tv so I can watch sports = win. It is the marketing formula.
Here on engadget sports are less popular than you think.
@Jorvay
Dare not speak his name, or surely he will appear.
I hope they chose blue tooth as the primary means of remote control but keeping the IR receiver intact so you have the option of using a 3rd party remote.
I wish my laptop screen contrast ratio was that high... I can distinguish what's in the shade of the dress...
Uma? Is that you?
And you thought guys with bluetooth headsets were douche's, imagine a guy walking around with this hanging from his head "yeah, this new bluetooth thingie is great, i can watch TV on it, too and oh yeah lemme tell about this fight i had with my girlfriend... bla bla bla bla"
btw. i understand the bluetooth is not intended for use with a cell phone, although it would be interesting.
I am wondering if this supports stereo-bt headphones, bc that would be sweet.
"Now the most interesting features on these LCDs are their Bluetooth support, enabling you to not only connect a Bluetooth headphone to your TV, but also your mobile phone or PC to stream both Video and Photo directly to it.
On top of this our TVs also features a USB port letting you plug an external HDD in order to play any video stores in it… "
Touch sensitive power button.... Really?
LG, how about you take the $3.50 you spent on this feature and apply it somewhere else that would make the tv even slightly better. Like maybe an extra screw somewhere, cause I'm sure that would be better than a "touch sensitive" power button. I'm already off the couch, I don't care two shits if I have to push a little plastic button in 2mm to turn it on.
i'm sure it adds some sort of "cool" factor. I would rather have a physical button that i can press so i know when i pressed it, it's turning off. Just... any kind of feedback. The only thing worse than the stupid touch sensitive button is having to hit it more than once.
I'm sure LG would have preferred an Asian model, but when you go past the 42" mark, you're basically compelled to upgrade to a Western variety.
Percent of Engadget readers who will export this photo to Photoshop in an attempt to resolve some detail in the dark area up her skirt: 34
Percent of Engadget readers who will merely press their faces to their screens in an attempt to see up her skirt: 64
Percent of Engadget readers who will do neither (i.e., percent of Engadget readers who are heterosexual females): 2
Or just go to the [Via AkihabaraNews] link to get a larger picture.
Use the magnifying glass!
How can I see her blue teeth if she doesn't smile? Dumb ad.
LG with ToC?
What a Samsung rip off!
Wish she would push my button instead.
dick is hard atm
