Samsung's touchscreen GT-S5600 sneaks by at Mobile World Congress

Samsung's GT-S5600 snuck past us at MWC last week -- which was bound to happen with so many things making an appearance -- but we're catching up now. This small and potentially lower-cost touchscreen features Samsung's TouchWiz UI, some type of cam, touchscreen display, and we're sure plenty of other goodies that we still have to figure out. While Mobile-review caught sight of it at the show, Samsung seems perfectly happy to remain tight-lipped about it, so hopefully we'll catch wind of more info in the near term. Until then, feel free to follow the read link for a few more pics.

Tisk tisk. Wee proof read here wouldn't have gone to waste, would it?
On topic though, looks like a tiny wee bugger, eh? Either that or the call and end buttons look unusually large...
I like the many touch non-smartphone devices coming out.
There are lot of people that don't wan the features of a OSX, WinMo, Blackberry, S60, are WebOS platform give. They want phone to make phone calls with and maybe take a picture to send.
I would take the exact oppose approach. These devices are rife with incompatibilities, there is no third party market, and they become obsolete quickly. They are basically designed to work like OS based phones but don't come through. In fact I literally think there should be environmental measures against devices that do not use general operating systems and are not upgradeable.
This has nothing on the LG Cookie
Durrrgh anyone else hate that Vista gadget bar thing?
Do you know, that your names added together make "Olid" !?!?
:O
Do you mean Ol'id?
Instinct $49, iPhone $99 bestbuy, I think??
I love seing lots of PDA phones to choose from. Right now, the absolute best one (without actually gotten to test it of course) would be the Toshiba TG01. I'd really love to see a CDMA version on Sprint. I really am in no rush to try the Diamond 2 or whatever they want to call it. The Diamond had such wretched battery life I went back to my 2 year old HTC touch.
To be honest, I know I'm asking for too much, but if this supported both CDMA and GSM, I think everyone would win. Just hope the touch screen doesn't blow chunks like the Glyde.
It about time they figure more than 60% of the cellphone market doesnt use
GPS, browse the web in their phones, use email in their phones, rarely use their
cameras and when they use it they dont need a 12 megapixel one, etc
Sure you could get the Iphone for $100 in bestbuy but you are not including
the contract rate that include things majority of people would not use. Cheap touchscreen
phone, $50 with ANY plan = Second coming of the razr
its good there releasing a low end touch phone, on the cheaper side but samsung, fuck samsung
