Video: Nintendo DSi browser dramatically outpaces the DS Lite

Good news for all you crazy kids waiting in eager anticipation for the Nintendo DSi's Stateside release. According to very scientistic benchmarks conducted by the folks over at N+, the up-and-coming handheld's Opera browser not only loads the New York Times website much faster than the DS Lite does, but it's clever enough to start with the text -- giving you something to read while you wait for pictures of the war torn Gaza Strip to materialize (and bum you out on an otherwise beautiful Monday afternoon). Unlike the DS Lite, Opera for the DSi is free, and it can be saved directly to the device's internal memory. No fuss, no muss -- right? But don't take our word for it, we've been kind enough to provide a video for your after the break.

Hey Balagan....."Occupation" -go!
I am a regular reader of engadget and typically can appreciate the "tone" of the site as slightly sardonic and acceptably sarcastic - something that's been established over the years. This piece instantly struck me as poor. If seeing the gaza atrocities "bums you out" as you read on your Nintendo, I suggest you try helping out or living there. This piece needs an edit, stat. It's not witty, quirky, or even "Family Guy" offensive - it's just a poor, failed attempt at being on the level of the other well-written pieces on engadget. It appears the author just "Flatley" failed at being even a poor man's Ryan Block.
This seems like more of a "poor, failed attempt," at being critical when there was no real need. Is it really that much beneath you to find out someone is 'bummed out' by events causing the deaths of others far away from themselves. Our world is worse off, when people like yourself think that the only way a person can feel the effects of far-away conflicts is by being there... hopefully more people can have real empathy no matter where they are, and thus stir the forces of change in this world.
wow thats bad news for us guys that dont want anything to do with the DSi, damn, all well, a somewhat fast internet browser isnt gonna turn me on to it, dont really need it, that and i have all my games on homebrew so its gonna take the DS2 to upgrade me
Wonder if opera browser is better than iPhone browser????NOT
