Nintendo DSi now in 3 more colors you can't buy
Check it: three new colors of the Nintendo DSi just announced in Japan for the usual ¥18,900 starting March 20th. How's it feel to know that Nintendo is already working on secondary DSi colors when they've yet to launch outside of Japan? Not that it matters, Australia will be limited to the black and white DSi models starting April 2nd; Europe's will launch in choice of black or white starting April 3rd; and the US will get its DSi on April 5th in either black or blue injury to accompany the insult of ranking last.

those are stunningly awful
Can't wait to put some Town & Country stickers on that pink one!
I'd MAYBE consider the blue. But IMO not worth the trouble of getting it over here.
I'd rather have murder black.. :)
so when is the wii going to be released in anything but white?
more awesomeness from Nintendo!!!!
1 more thing..
i thought the US is gettin the blue color on april... so yes, we can get our hands on them. (in about a 5 weeks).!!
I think the Blue in the US market is more of a Teal color...right?
Is this crayon time in preschool?
Oh how typical. At least looking at the DS, Nintendo will probably release a lot of the colors outside Japan later, unlike Sony who always keep their stuff in Japan only.
@pika2000
WOW pika2000 you're an idiot; what does Sony have to do with any of this? This whole thread is about the colors released in Japan and the release dates for outside Japan on the subject of NINTENDO, and you management to bring up Sony? Seriously ...wow you're an idiot.
Anyways, back to the real subject. I gonna go for the black, the blue they're releasing here is like a pastel color so I won't even consider it. Plus, I had the white DS and the Silver( jpn ) and they both got dirty fast since they were with me 24/7 even while eating. Hopefully the black hide more dirt. :)
@Jamesology
Really? Look who's talking.
"and you management to bring up Sony?" WTF does that mean?

So, I thought this is about Nintendo, like you have stated yourself, not about what color you like nor your lifestyle. I guess the only thing you can do is calling people names and blab about yourself that nobody cares.
Japan always gets the navy blue version! They did the same crap with the DS Lite, and it annoyed me. Why does america get stuck with the god awful pastel blue crap or the default white/black.
I want one in nice matte navy blue or slate grey.
My DS Lite is navy blue, and I bought it in the US.
sometimes toy stores have "special edition" colors, just have to look at the gaming section at toys r us sometimes
SECOND! My country that is...
But really, throw us some colours Nintendo!
"Nintendo DSi now in 3 more colors you can't buy"
ERRRNT wrong, this should read "Nintendo DSi now in 3 more colors you wouldn't buy even if they WERE available in the US."
I don't really like the current blue and the black is too dark. Why can't we get the white and dark blue considering the first DS is in white....
Black and Blue doesn't make much sense to me too. I thought the DS demographics favored tween girls. Neither of these colors would seem to appeal to them.
@ jimmiJam
For tween girls? Only people I've seen using DS's (in person) are 30 to 60+ year olds playing Brain Age. The two semi retired old guys I work with have them to kill time. Kids seem to have iPod Touch's or PSPs.
where is the love come on at least give us the option of special ordering it
Are you serious? They've been selling those here (Indonesia) for quite a while now, though it only comes in black and white.
It still doesn't play gba games. D:
I REALLY want one. I'm a sucker for colors.
Of course, as soon as I buy one they'll release the Hello Kitty edition or something, and I'll have to buy that too.
Why does Japan get the decent shade of blue?
Those actually seem like nice trendy colors and I would like to see a regular rotation of the colors over time. I would like a dark green, personally, though only because I like the color. It would probably look a bit outdated.
Got mine in Murder Matte Black pre-ordered off Amazon. Hoping to see more than games and clocks. Lets see some cool apps that play video or manage photos. Maybe a Twitter client or something!?
Lime green = awesome. Unfortunately, the downloadable game stores are region-locked, so you can't import one unless you're OK with only being able to download Japanese games...
i guess there goin back to the gameboy color colors that really POP
