Sleek new Studio XPS 435 materializes on Dell website
Well, what do we have here? Dell's own website has outed a new Studio XPS 435. Here's the specs for its supremum configuration: a 3.2GHz Intel Core i7 processor extreme edition on a X58 chipset, up to 24GB DDR3 SDRAM and 4.5 TB with three hard drive bays, ATI Radeon HD4870, Blu-ray disc drive, 15-in-1 card reader, and eight USB 2.0 ports. Of course, getting the max settings is certainly going to cost you a pretty penny, and at this point we've got no deets on pricing or availability.

So deets = details? Are you sure it's a word or are you just angry at the world?
I don't know if this word really is acknowledged in the english everyday speech (mainly because I'm not a native speaker), but it at least isn't just known by engadget. Check out this: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=deets
Well, that is, of course, unless the 379 "thumb ups" are all from engadget editors... ;)
Really big tower or really small monitor?
Complete with slave labor option?

ho ho sweet :D
24GB DDR3 SDRAM? That's more ram than the SSD capacity of netbooks sold in B&M stores...
what's a netbook? Signed iDiot & bag-o-hurt
That really is one sexy machine
No thanks, just built my own.
-and for WAY less.
Dell can suck it for what they offer for the price.
I like how the bottom of their tower is a copy of the mac pro
and the monitor looks a lot like the hp style, and also, the front of their tower looks kinda like an HP, but the color that dell has set up beats any of them, along with their choices of hardware.
That monitor is damn sexy! Where do I sign up?!?
Id buy the case and remove the Dell TM since its nice as hell. And just build my own
Love the cheese grater detail...
We need an Engadget comment contest to win one of these.
Yep, the SSD is only beginning and I suspect this time next year, all new computers will have them at little if any upgraded costs.

Looks nice but I can't believe people are actually getting this thing. I ordered an XPS 420 in November. The order was canceled and reinstated twice by Dell due to delays. They finally stopped offering that model and had Global Escalation Dept. work with me to expedite my order. So I went with the Studio XPS (no free upgrade despite the fact that they couldn't deliver what they offered). A week later I receive an e-mail saying that my order would be delayed for a month.
After much calling I succeeded in getting Dell to cancel the order. I have no confidence in Dell being able to actually deliver on any of these models.
I guess HP just gained a customer.
Yeah its a sexy machine because he ripped off the design of Apple's G5. Dell needs to give credit to Apple.
This doesn't look familiar
Mac Pro anyone?
24 fucking gigs of ram, what the hell do you do with it all? holy hell this computer is a fucking beast, damn, i want, but not for a couple grand guaranteed its gonna be, i say atleast 6g's
When you compare prices of the 435 vs build your own, take 25% off the Dell price to get a more accurate comparison. There's a 25% off coupon right now at Slickdeals that works for the 435.
