Well, what do we have here? Yep, that's the Motorola i465, the first iDEN phone with a full QWERTY keyboard in the entire universe in a seemingly official press shot. Mobile Review's somehow gotten ahold of this slick piece of photography, which shows the dumbphone off in a much better light than we've previously seen. We still don't know much else about the specs, or when this Sprint-Nextel bound puppy will show up.

I feel like this would benefit from WM6 Classic or some other smartphone OS... the qwerty would love it!

yep. laura seems to have gotten a little too carried away with the "world's first" euphemisms.
I believe this is the first full-QWERTY iDEN... dumbphone. That's kind of an important qualification there...
Maybe she meant the first Motorola iDEN QWERTY phone?

No fuckin kidding. iDEN is like some kind of Night of the Living Dead zombie. No matter how many shovels to the head they take, no matter how relieved you are when it seems they've finally taken the last shotgun blast and we will never have to hear about another shitty overpriced proprietary handset again, there they are, trying to crawl in the goddamn boarded up window.
Talk about a division Motorola should shelve! Concentrate on getting your brand back to the powerhouse it was, dammit! Hint: decaying, rotting technologies ain't the right focus.

What the hell, Motorola. I thought you are backing away from phones and names like RAZR and MOTO and things like that. You had it going with that phone "leak" couple weeks/days ago... but this killed it. Wtg on making an ugly pone again, and to all those who think I'm a troll, I have a MotoQ and hate everything about it.
How does i465 look like RAZR and MOTO to you?
I was comparing it to Motorola's bad design and names in general.
um, i agree with the other guy... i'm still not seeing how you find the names, "i465" and "RAZR" similar in any way. if they were fruit, it would be like saying an orange resembles a hippopotamus.

Its not bad...I probably would still get this or the i776...
I thought this was due out June 15th according to Boosts Phone map.
But im not buyin this for its Looks....So what its not a blackberry bold... Look wise id call it a poor mans T-Mobile Dash....But its still Full Qwerty...and add this with that Unlimited Plan Im a Happy Camper.
Plus Im gonna get a Real Full Qwerty phone from Sprint whether it be a blackberry or HTC this summer. So this will just be for Messin Around with.

Man! I haven't used the word fugly since '93 but this phone has brought the term out of retirement. This phone is fuuuugly. F'in ugly. they must have a bunch of guys who worked on the original DynaTAC 8000X workin on this; the only difference between now and '83 is these guys have cataracts. the whole company has one foot in the ground.
This phone is the telco equivalent of the Pontiac Aztec to the auto industry.
Thank god I am not the only person who thinks the Aztec is as appealing as a cardboard box with wheels
Yes its all things nasty...but you must realize how much people benefit from nextel 2 ways...I wish I could have this or the blackberry and not have 2 dam phones.

I pointed out on Twitter (http://twitter.com/michaelper22/status/1256399032) that Boost Mobile's $50 unlimited plan is just an excuse to keep iDEN alive (and finance it) - this is oneextremely poor excuse for the netowrk. It's like an i870 modded to include a keyboard. Horrid OS, horrid hardware. kthnxbai #idensucks
