Has anyone else had problems with the OS when coming out of sleep on a desktop. The default power setting had my computer sleeping after 30 minutes and when I woke it up, the mouse would no longer work, and would require a hard restart. I've since changed the settings so the computer stays powered up all the time. I reported it, but I wanted to know if this is limited to me or not.
The critical part of investigating the issues is also not just software related. Based upon your computer setup, it could contribute it a piece a hardware too.
Yep! Sent feedback on it, too! I hope it gets fixed. When my mouse DID decide to work, it said something along the lines of "USB Device Not Recognized" but a few seconds later worked as it should.
I've experienced the same "Dead mouse" after sleep - and here's my current solution - put the computer to sleep and then wake it up again. It seems like every second time it wakes up it recognizes my USB devices.
Not perfect - but sleep is so dang quick that it adds less than 10 seconds to my routine.
I have problems with display resolution when mine wakes from sleep. I have a 1280x800 display, and sometimes, when I wake up my computer from sleep, it changes to a 4:3 aspect ratio. After I enter in my password though, my desktop is the normal 1280x800
This is a bug related to the USB drivers it happens to multiple usb connected devices, probably on a the very top list, sent a bug report like the first day the beta was released with probably 5000 others. It is very common.
(I have the same resolution 1280x800 can't say I've seen that happen... just send a bug report or search google).

I've had plenty of issues with my USB mouse.
The biggest has been the fact that it (the mouse) will not be recognized if I plug in any unsupported USB device as well.

Try it out and post if it works for you.
