There are so many inconsistencies with this screen grab from last night's Ugly Betty episode that it's hard to know where to begin. In fact, we won't. We'll leave it to you to identify each of the bastardized components cobbled together in this Frankenbook. Answers after the break.
how about Ugly Betty is on ABC, which is owned by Disney, which is (largely) owned by a certain Steven P Jobs. Why this screen shot is so mucked up is beyond me.
Steve Jobs is the largest shareholder of The Walt Disney Company... Ugly Betty is an ABC show... She's taking her photo with PhotoBooth on an Apple iBook (remember those?) hooked up to an Apple iSight camera. Oddly enough, it even has the iPhone "Nemo" desktop, which was featured on all of the original iPhone ads... But while it should all be running Mac OS X, it looks like Windows XP... Someone's going to get seriously fired by Jobs himself.
If they had an AV team capable of superimposing an image onto the screen of the um, computer, then why why wouldn't they have saved the trouble and used screen capture software to record what was actually on the computer's screen.
So it's a G4 iBook with a separate iSight. I have both of those and that's a reasonable setup. It looks strange to anyone with a newer laptop with the iSight built in, but so what? Now the software, I don't know. Could just be a video played back full screen, but I bet there are more elegant solutions out there.
Busted, I hope someone loses their job over this. This is a serious mistake. We can only hope that no one was watching Ugly Betty this week. By the way... my computer defines who I am as a person, because corporations deserve the more loyalty than I would give to all my friends if I had any. ROFLMAC WOOOOOOOOOO
Sorry, no, the 12" PB has no space between keyboard and side(left/right) and is overall metallic colored. Also a PB has the Powerplug on the left side, only the consumer machines had the plug on the right.
Yeah, I dont know why tv shows always do this. Is it because if they want to have a mac in the show that they have to have permission from apple or what?

i don't get the "mirrored image" thing?

The icons are not in a straight line. >.
I hate it when commercials, shows, and movies have fake UI's. It's sooooo annoying.

The first problem is: You're watching Ugly Betty
Where's the big white arrow pointing to that?

Its as Frankenstein as Ugly Betty is..
lol TV PG LAME. :P
Call me crazy, I love the show *shrug*.
Anywho. One thing I've been noticing for months was that the Apples' weren't "Apple".
At least, they replaced the Apple logo with something else...
I thought I was the only one that noticed!
Anyway, here is a screen capture of Betty using their "Mac" in Daniel's office. Notice the new logo? It's on all of their computers.

Who cares about that silly OS mashup? I've never watched the show but I am curious, why do they call her 'Ugly Betty' when she's so hot?
