Viliv S5 MID gets unboxed on video

We've already seen this one up close but, if you just can't get enough of Viliv's new S5 MID, you can now get a guided tour of the complete unboxing process (including the rare treat of boxes within boxes) courtesy of the folks at UMPC Fever. Of course, they've also offered up a few impressions of the device itself as well, and while much is lost in translation, they do seem to be generally impressed with it and, in particular, the array of controls and function keys that complement that haptic-enhanced touchscreen. Head on past the break for the video, and hit up the link below for a closer look.

What is that??
What?... Engadget come on, you know I don't speak Spanish!
I want one of these but looking at the video its pretty damn slow, is it possible to upgrade the ram on this thing?
eww...
how boring was that :(
Bil lib?
I wish I spoke Korean so I could understand what the guy was saying, but I think I got the overall idea. I like the device, 4.8" 1044x600 is a great middle ground between acceptable size/great resolution and pocketability - good comparison to the Vaio P which is definitely NOT pocketable. The 6200mAh battery should keep it going for 4-5 hours at least if not more.
If they had only included a small touchpad, or a mouse navigator thingy like on the Vaio P in addition to the touchscreen; a slide-out keyboard and eliminated the redundant space on the sides of the display (those buttons are not essential and could have been included on a slide-out keyboard) that would have made the device nearly perfect.
I understand that's asking too much though and would make the device OQO 2+ish, inflating its price to over $1,000, so I'm happy with this the way it is as long as it stays affordable in the $400-500 price range (or cheaper... :P). Pocketable PCs are finally here! :P
I estimate $600 entry price. up to $900 for a 3G, GPS loaded version.
Its a lot, but it's a lot of device!
That was definitely not korean, very chinese sounding to me.
It is already a chunky little thing, if they added a slide out, it probably would have been too much.
Actually the guy was speaking Cantonese, and UMPC Fever is from Hong Kong.
hes saying "testing unit, no many accessaries"
Viliv is still around? The same can't be said for its U.S. operation. I paid them for two accessories that never came; my emails fell into a black hole.
That guy is hilarious. Talking about how he poorly he installs batteries, and mistaking the battery release switch for a battery lock switch. And then he looked at the vents on the bottom and called them speakers.
I wANT IT!! I'd rather grab this then the swiveling tablet coming out from Asus. I like the small form factor and specs. When does this hit US? I heard March but begining of march, middle, or end? I Am saving up.
