Endless Ideas launching next-gen WiFi BeBook at CeBIT
Endless Ideas' original BeBook wasn't exactly the same smash hit as, say, Amazon's Kindle, but the company's hoping to refocus some of the spotlight back on itself next week in Germany. According to a succulent teaser page on the company's website, it has proudly announced that the next-gen e-reader will be on display at CeBIT, bringing with it WiFi and 3G capabilities, touchscreen navigation and wireless RSS support. Sadly, we're not giving any pictorial clues, but we are told to expect "a complete redesign." Consider our interest piqued.

Just like a Touch Screen phone parade.
But will it run BeOS?
No BeOS-goodness, no sale!
Go to the press release page and there is a download link for press photo's (and additional tech details)
I'll try to guess:
wifi+touchscreen+weird design+RSS+"revolution" = huge price, zero sales. Revolutionary stupidity? No, evolutionary lose of sight of ebook reader makers.
These companies aren't thinking correctly. They're talking about a revolution for a MEDIA device. A revolution for an eBook reader is making it cheaper and simpler.
on a side note ... work on the WiFi stack for Haiku (BeOS clone/successor) just started and I bet it will make a awesome netbook OS .... and there is talk of an ARM port maybe it will run on the next get Cortex-A9 chips
I'm sorry if I seen stupid here, but I think I've missed the previous revolution taking place in Reading.
Do not buy from this company their customer service is terrible.. buy a kindle 2, it has better features and it is worth the extra money,. Plus Amazon isn't going anywhere anytime soon.. who knows how long these people have (especially after seeing how they treat potential customers..
