Yeah, I as a student, love the idea of a thin MacBook (my current unibody MacBook is a pain to carry in my shoulder bag for 6 hours a day) but the way the MacBook Air even lags just magnifying the dock icons really puts me off. So, I think Rev.B certainly helped there with the 9400 chipset, but I still think 1.6 or 1.8GHz is still too slow. At least it's not an Atom. But, I would improve it by more connectivity options. So, speed bump and more ports (maybe lower price) = perfect laptop. In my opinion at least.
Im a student and its so great to not have a heavy backpack when i go to class because of my MBA.....I laugh at the students that have a backpack and a separate bag for there 6 pound Dell hahaha! Thats the premium u r paying for with the MBA, u have to experience first hand trust me on this one.
I don't get why everybody cries about having to carry around a "heavy" laptop all day. My 14 inch gateway sits in a sleeve in my backpack all day and i hardly even notice it's there. Maybe it's just because everyone here is looking to justify something like the Air? Or is everyone here just a skinny weak nerd? (Actually, don't answer that.)

I'd much prefer having a messenger bag for my laptop than not needing one for a laptop that barely does anything.

My backpack weighs 40 lbs anyways.
Whether it's 42 or 46 doesn't really affect me.
