Red Xbox 360 Resident Evil Limited Edition spotted in the wild

New 360 SKUs always seem to land on Target shelves a bit early, and the new Resident Evil 5 red Xbox 360 Elite limited edition is no exception -- there it is, hanging out in Pembroke Pines, Florida. We don't know if these are just out behind the counter or if the staff is just ignoring that DO NOT SELL BEFORE 3.13.09 sticker, but we're certain some kind soul will let us know soon.

Well, I tried to muster up some excitement for this thing but I just can't. Never mind the fact that I care not for RE5 (am I the only who thinks that zombies are getting extremely tired as far as horror devices go?), nor the fact that it's just the same ol' 360 as we've seen last year, and the year before, and before... The thing that kills it for me is that color. Who in their right mind would want that thing beside their TV and/or home theater system?!?

And another thing - this thing is aimed at hardcore gamers who are fans of 360, or RE, or both. It's a good bet that 99% of these people already own a 360. It's also a good bet that more than half of those, have the elite version already. So why would they shell out 4 benjamins for basically a game that would cost them $60 by itself, and if they really like the color they can send it to colorware and get it painted for probably another $60?

both elite's have the same upc. I have been told that they are the same price, since they have the same upc, which could cause problems with people working in the backroom who don't know what the xbox even is. My manager told me that the xbox on-hands are going to be off for a little bit, and that is when i found out about the red xbox.

I think its aimed at people who still havent adopted the xbox 360, because it is bundled with the game. And i dont think its aimed at kids because resident evil 5 is rated mature. This is the first version of the 360 that makes me want to actually buy it.

This is a good color is not pink is red dark a little and in xbox.com it said that u will get a free halo wars game free with any purchase of a xbox 360 so u will get RE5 and Halo Wars also.

I wouldn't be too happy getting that box. Looks battered to bits. Also looks like it's been in the sun too long and the box has faded. Looks naff, naff, naff all round tbh. :-/

How many of you are just jealous that there is a new fancy colored XBOX out there that you cant justify buying because you already own one? XBOX 360 is not for my kids, this one is for me, the Wii is for the kids. And Zombies never get old, its always fun to shoot zombies. Btw, what do vegetarian zombies eat?

You can preorder @ Best Buy Online but the Shipping is prolly gonna run you $15-20 and no you cannot offer to ship to the Best Buy store for local pickup I already tried
Unfortunately you can't preorder at the physical store
As for other retailers
Gamestop is accepting Pre-Orders comes with a 30 day return policy minus the shipping costs
Has anyone heard of actual units or how many are going to be made?

I have seen other pictures elsewhere and the red shown in the better photographs is indeed a darker, more palatable shade of red that does not look so much like hooker lipstick.
