The Nielsen Company presented a cadre of individuals with a list of nice, shiny gadgets and let them cross off anything and everything they'd like to buy in the next six months, and 31 percent of kids 6-12 picked the iPad as one of them.

This laptop looks to take design cues more from HP in my mind than from apple. For sure, this is a nicer looking computer than anything apple could design or make.. the other benefits, it isn't tied to cupertino in any way, it will run Vista, Win7 and any other good OS and it costs less!
Care to explain which part of this laptop is taken design cues from HP?? seeing from your avatar .. i think u r just denying the fact that it looks like an Apple laptop... bash all you want.. but it is what it is
come on man, lets face it: it's a windows air, and i dont say it's bad or anything... i'm a big fan of cheap beautiful computers, even though they arent very original. That's what makes the price remain low: not investing in a visionary design team.
But to say this looks more like HP is ridiculous: when did HP make trackpads with only one button?

For me, the Pavilion dv5t special addition looks closer in styling than the crap book air does. Firstly, the air isn't a good seller for apple and it's way to frigging expensive for what you get, so why would anyone in their right mind emulate it. apple's piece of shit is so poor in quality, I seriously doubt it will see another iteration. It's total junk.. the apple cube (remember that other remarkable piece of shit from apple) is the only machine from apple that surpasses it in customer complaints. The HP however, is a good seller with some value 4.3 out of 5.0.

Normally I would give anyone's opinion a go (as one should).
But looking at your immature avatar I really cant expect anything mature or fair from you.
so I shan't bother im afraid.
next?
Uh sorry, but the only thing worse than a fanboy is an anti-fanboy.
Not to mention whether you like or hate apple, the design is a blatant rip off and the article claims that they were admiring the design.
Pavilion dv5t more than the Air?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!
You're deranged.
