soo many laptops !! i want them all !!
Agreed. Not the most glamorous, but damn if they don't have it where it counts.
the 15inch one is a puma platform with griffin processor and the ati 4860. hopefully it will be cheap.
If it has a 4860, I don't care how it looks!
I wouldn't call it a "basics" laptop either.
K51AB and K50AB will be based on AMD Puma platform (chip RS780 and SB700) with graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD4860 with 1GB of memory GDDR5 .

The only information needed to move me from being excited to frothing at the mouth would be the inclusion of a back-lit keyboard. In the next to last picture, the base of the space bar looks to have some light peeking out. I seriously hope that ASUS realizes that the inclusion or even the option of a back-lit keyboard tremendously increases the value of a laptop.
Nice specs but these look just like my 3 year old Toshiba Satellite (without the gloss).
Well, that's an upgrade then.
