HTC Touch Diamond2 "Topaz" for Europe makes it past the FCC
Those clever fiends at the FCC have apparently been having all sorts of good times with HTC's upcoming Touch Diamond2 of late, recently putting through a "TOPA100" handset that sounds quite a bit like the leaked codename "Topaz" phone that turned into the Touch Diamond2 at MWC. Unfortunately, it seems the FCC just has the Europe version of the phone (slated for Q2 of this year) at the moment -- a US version for AT&T is supposedly in the works, as shown in the original leak, but we're still in the dark as to when that might arrive.

I'm ready for a new phone and that is like my dream phone right now.
That's weird it deleted part of my comment striped out everything after my heart Sprint ( < 3)
It's normal, you tried to use an angled bracket which gets interpreted as HTML and written as HTML when your comment is displayed. When doing this you lose angled brackets because they are misinterpreted as HTML, they need to upgrade their software to convert these characters to the proper HTML tags when putting it in the database to get around this issue.
I don't use cellphones. One day a signal will be sent through cell phones that will format our brains. Only those that don't use cell phones will be left to fight the zombies with psychic powers. But you can give me the phone anyways, I don't care...
Wait.. what? Where am I?
Hold on, Cell, by Stephen King.
Amirite?
PLEASE let the US release in the same time as Europe! I really don't want to wait one year after the phone is released to market, by then i want another phone that has been released! Seriously what is the problem with the US, is it not a big enough market? HTC this phoen will have a global release, so I am really hoping.
One might find it interesting that HTC could get trouble in Germany due to patent infringements:

Obviously, there's something wrong with the technology used for UMTS connections.
So the rumor on the street is that this phone is going to be on AT&T? How about the Touch Pro 2?
It's rumored to be a T-Mobile US branded phone and it's to be released after May 2009.
Why is the FCC certifying a phone that is to be sold in Europe?
Shady,
That's a good question...unless the British think we are still part of the British Empire and we still pay taxes to the crown. LOL!!
That's a good question, Shady... could be that the British think we are part of the British Empire and we still pay taxes to the crown.
