Pyramid PC casemod will look really cool on your desk next to your Crysis poster

Casemods range from the peculiar to the spaceage, but this one -- a pyramid PC case -- kinda takes things to the next level of outrageousness. Weighing in at 7.5 pounds (just for the case) this 25-inch high beast is not exactly compact, with a 19 x 19-inch base. Modder polo360x made it from a customized Luxor pyramid case, and, and in our opinion, it fits in nicely with his home decor choices. One redeeming quality at least...
Not really. I love the case mod, but hate the malware.
Ew, he installed a Thermaltake Tidewater system in there?
I'm wondering why this is worthy of a mention when it's basically the same as the Luxor case it's made from. All that's been done is adding clear panels and lights.
It's not as if he made the case from scratch.
you all are aware that this guy, whomever he maybe, not actually build that case at all. He bought it. you can see it here - http://www.pawer.com/pyramid/ granted the case is no longer in production/available for purchase but this guy did jack all except put the crap inside the case and take a pic, that's it.
Making this article suck even more.
Engadget are really trying there best to lose readers. Old material re-hashed as new, and then it turns out its a pre built case just modified with some perspex and neons.
Good one laura.
and its not ever that. the case in question, when it was in production, even offered the option to have it in arcylic. so this guy literally didn't do much of anything at all.
It's not like the concept of a pyramid is new exactly now anyway is it, it's all about how you dress it up.
I bet that thing really does a number on EM emittance though, better not be a DX'er in the town where that thing is used methinks.
lollllllll some ppl buy the dumbesttttttt shit
And the point of this exercise was: "How do we occupy as much table space as possible?"...
Well, you have failed, because you should have laid all the components flat... Try this for your next "awesome" design...
Too negative, or not negative enough? I thought so...
Then you can hang it up on the wall, BAM, gaming wall PC
wouldnt it look waaaay better next to ur daft punk poster??
Ozymandias's PC case eh??
That's hideous.
thats what she said
if i could find a girl to appreciate a masterpiece like this, i'll be at the church door in a heart beat
if you could find a girl who would appreciate a masterpiece like this, you would have found your mum.
Man that was longwinded...
i can haz pyramid case?
The most awesome case I have ever seen.
Simply beautiful work there.
After getting one his comments on engadget were suddenly sharp again.
7.5 pounds? That's really light. My Antec 900 weighs 30 pounds empty. Maybe they meant 7.5 kg? But that's still only 16 pounds...
The Luxor of PC cases...
That case is so awesome it already has Duke Nukem Forever and Star Trek Online installed on it!
I don't see how this can be remotely practical.
Rise, Necrons!
If only things like this were mass produced
So, since Pyramids have mystic powers, this computer will run forever, right? ;-)
he made it for Adrian Viedt
Looks like the machines used on StarWars sceneries but seems cool!
new news? this was featured casemod on guru3d months ago. better late than never :)
Reminds me of that 50s robot; Robby from Forbidden Planet.
it would look even cooler if i had an extra chromosome.
1 of 200 cases, until the Chinese rip it off.
Don't subwoofers go on the floor?
No.

They can go in the ceiling too.
@Lundmark
then quit looking at tits and dicks on the internet
Is that the flux capacitor I see?
Meh.. Those fancy pants, lighted up computers with a bunch of fans are anoying and loud. A beefy and silent black box under the desk is just fine by me...its what's on the inside that counts.
I have listed a brand new unmodded version of this case on ebay, black with acrylic panels, if anyone is interested. Have another myself, and I love the case, just power supply and lack of 7th pci slot the only down side.
