Samsung outs Fabrizio PAVV 450 Series plasma HDTVs in Korea
Despite a sudden lack of support, the plasma ain't dead yet. Just days after announcing its ritzy new Bordeaux PAVV Fabrizio 650 LCD HDTVs over in South Korea, the same company has introduced a new line catering to the unshakable PDP fans across the globe. The Fabrizio PAVV 450 Series includes a 42- and 50-inch version with Sammy's own Crystal Engine, 0.001 millisecond response time, "Mega Contrast," and a trio of HDMI sockets. Outside of that, details are still being kept under wraps, but hopefully we'll know more after these get a US ship date. Wait, these are coming to America, right Samsung?

ill take the azn
Leave it to Samsung to use marketing buzzwords on a technology that doesn't need them to be the best. "Mega Contrast", ".001 response time", "Crystal Engine", give me a break. It's Plasma, it's the best, we get it. Of course, this is Samsung, they can't hope to compete with Panasonic (or Pioneer when they were still making them) for Plasma supremacy, so maybe they do need the buzzwords.
I would be interested if they offer a 58" version.
Buzzword to Beat: Mega Contrast
Buzzwords or not, Samsung puts out some excellent PQ TVs.
Compared to the budget brands, yes, they're not bad. Just like a Chevy's not bad compared to a Kia.
you know, besides that incredible 81 series, I didnt care for samsung too much in 07', but after seeing where theyve taken lcds last year (them 650 plasmas aint too shabby either), i have a newfound respect for sammy. cant wait to see their new sets!
Fantastic leg. Hope it isn't the only one.
