USB finger drive concept attempts to keep up with reality

Yanko Design is certainly home to many far-fetched, never-to-be-realized gadgets, but this so-called You-SB finger drive isn't one of them. In fact, it's already a bit behind the curve. Apparently, after losing a finger in a motorcycle accident last year, Jerry Jalava took advantage of the situation to get a 2GB USB drive installed in his new prosthetic finger, which he's happy to inform us stores the Billy
Linux distribution and the movie Freddy Got Fingered. The drive is even removable to allow for upgrades or different drives for different tasks. Can a pico-projector finger be far behind?

pic on the left is cool and pretty funny how he had it installed. pic on the right is just wierd.
wow, Marilyn Manson looks really hung over.
I can't imagine how he would have to constantly undergo operations every 2 years to keep up with Moores.
He should've got the 32GB variety.
MOAR.
you-SB, LOL, ROFL
yah, imagine needing to keep your finger plugged into your computer the whole time you access your data X(
could be worse. could be a zip drive....
"Flesh"-based memory is more reliable.
BUT WILL IT BLEND AND PLAY CRYSIS AT THE SAME TIME???
Having already lost one finger, I can't imagine him going too near blenders for a while.
Wow an entire 2GB!
i know, couldn't he at least thrown a 8gb in there?
If you're going to put flash-based memory in your finger, at least make it a lot of flash-based memory!
I bet his robot girlfriend will be pleased
No, she wants something bigger that 2...
AHAHAHA!
i laugh at my own jokes too
Hopefully I won't be running into him any time soon.
I bet his girlfriend like to be uploaded, if you know what I mean
Well, that's how you give your computer "the finger".
Don't You dare finger my PC.
You don't know where it's been.
So does the finger come off or does he have to hold his finger in the USB port like the little Dutch Boy in the dyke? Kind of puts a cramp in the ol' typing position.
I guess this is truly a "digital" gadget.
I see what you did there
The dyke wouldn't be pleased about that. :)
Go Go Gadget USB Drive!
damn, i just missed it, gadget def had one of these, or at least a laser
FREAK!
Wow a usb finger.... lame.... ass.
Hope he never slips up and digs up his nose with that finger.
That's where he interfaces with the digital camera in his prosthetic eye.
I can recall 10 separate occasions where I have not been using both hands to operate a computer and have wished to stick my finger in a usb port (I could use my hands to tally that up). No wonder it's only 2gb, filling up anything that's much more capacious in one sitting would be a pain.
Wait, did you tally those up before or after you read this post? "This is the 10th time today I could have used a flashdrive in my finger. Oh well, time to read Engadget..."
but does he front a No-Wave band?
No i think he uses it for his Blitzkrieg.
Zing!
I just hate when i have my "you SB" in my computer and i can't type cause my hand is stuck in my friggin computer!!!
How Keanu of him, or how Gibsonesque!
It's a good thing he didn't lose his cock in that motorcycle accident.
hehehe
Haven't you ever wanted to make love to your computer?
Robot chicken?
HAHAHAHAHAHA FOR REAL
Vibrating Finger............
Yeah, who needs to type with both hands whenever they're using external storage, anyway?
Oh you wacky Cylons and your crazy things.....hmm Caprica 6 can I see you for a sec.....
But will it blend?
32gb drives only cost like 50-80 bucks. Shoulda went with one of those instead.
The drive is even removable to allow for upgrades
That guy's never been on a motorcycle. I'm calling shenanigans.
....?
He drives a Civic. I've seen it. It's the one with a Razed in Black sticker on it. The license plate says "REPTYLE".
pic?
I can just see it now... geek loses hand, geek needs new pc, geek installs atom powered prosthetic hand.
I'd suggest ARM, in celebration of that he still has two.
That's not a thumb drive...
