Klipsch debuts sub-$100 Image S2, S4 in-ear headphones

Klipsch hasn't exactly been catering to more budget-minded customers with its earphones as of late, but that looks to be changing with its new Image S2 and S4 models, which come in at a reasonable $49 and $79, respectively. That'll still get you the same proprietary, oval-shaped ear tips as Klipsch's pricier earphones though, along with a so-called moving coil design with controlled dampening, and a "hot rod" dual magnet motor structure on the S4. The S4 set also comes bundled with a few bonuses like a cleaning tool and a "crush-resistant" aluminum case, while the S2s get stuck with a basic cloth case and a slightly less flashy solid black finish. Look for the S4s to roll out first in April, with the S2s set to follow sometime In July.

My Panasonic's have oval shaped eartips so...
how do they sound?
Nowhere near as good as a nice set of Shure's. Their last pair of headphones got pretty shoddy ratings.
Your money would be best spent on Westone, who makes 3-driver ear buds for around $200 or so. Many swear Westone's ear buds are better than Shure and a lot of musicians use them when performing live.

that'll be $79 and $109 if you want to use it with the new shuffle

YES!
Now I get these for my iPod shuffle...
Oh wait!....
I hope that Apple will have plenty of earphones in stock because people will be exchanging them every 2 weeks...
I know my 1st gen iPhoneies did not last even 1 week before the right side started to give out.
I suspect that a person will exchange on avarage 10 times for the 1-year warranty life
when S.Jobs sees the loss $$$$ in earphones exchanges he is going to YELL!
AHAHAHAHAHH!!
I am a newbie here and even I am beginning to hate you...
Are you S. Jobs' illegitimate child?
You sound scary with your idiotic "AHAHA".
These headphones with the new Shuffle are a great combinati...
Wait a second.
Do you always make irrelevant comments?
every single comment from you is about bashing Apple, even on threads that have nothing to do with them. It's like your sole purpose in life. Give it a rest, and maybe a visit to a shrink.
Does anyone else have the inabillity to keep in-ear headphones to stay in their ears?
The best ones that fit so far are the Zune ones and they still pop out after a few seconds. There has to be something I can do about it? :P
Are you using larger bud caps / sleeves? The Sennheiser buds I bought came with 1 size, but I picked up some slip on bud replacement caps that came with 3 sizes... you probably need to get the larger caps, but maybe you ned smaller ones to fit better inside your ear.

For example.
I've used over 5 different brands with 3 different sizes each. They just always slide out of my ear.
Depends on how you wear em. Check out the Shure website, they have a nice tutorial on how in-ears are supposed to be worn. From over and behind ur ears. If u jus plug em in like regular ones, they might pop out. Pull them from behind and over ur ears so that the logo on the earbud is upside down. Now plug them in ur ears, they should not fall out. Atleast this method works very well for me.
I've tried that before, but no dice, I'll try it again tomorrow. :P
EDIT: WTF, dear engagdet, please fix the comment system, if you are viewing a comment reply doesn't work.
That's how I wear mine... over the ear. Otherwise, they slip out sometimes for me too.
I have tried tons of in-ear headphones and none of them stayed in, until I found these guys-

You can get them at any walmart, they go in your ear and never come out, I wear them while jogging and I have yet to make them pop out. At $10 a pop, you can't go wrong...
Those aren't in-ear headphones. Those are called earbuds, they don't give the same clarity. Also, the Zune gen 1 had amazing earbuds, but out of my 2 pairs they failed for the same reason, (cheap 3.5mm connector) :(
Or you could try some Duck tape around your head, another option though a bit more permanent would be some superglue only for future earcleaning that could be a hassle.
[Insert witty comment about the new shuffle and these headphones here]
[These aren't going to work with the new iPod shuffle without an adapter.]
I don't wanna. Do it yourself.
[the new shuffle isn't witty at all]
Looks good

Crappy as their speakers...try etymotics
I just absolutely hate IEMs. They're a pain in the arse to fit into your ear, carry around with a PMP and quickly pull out to use. I just use Yuin PK2s, they're pretty good.
The new shuffle; LMAO.
What's with the fake comments? Three sets of identical response to the question: how does it sound? does that sentence trigger a bot?
