Wacom Intuos4 pen tablet spotted by Mr. Blurrycam

There's not exactly much official word about this one just yet, but it looks like Wacom could have a little surprise in the offing for pen tablet enthusiasts, with some seemingly legit pics of the hereto unannounced Intuos4 now surfacing courtesy of our old friend Mr. Blurrycam. Unfortunately, 'ol Blurry didn't actually go so far as to open the box, although he did at least flip it over to reveal a few specs, including a wide format tablet area, some customizable ExpressKeys, a user-defined touch ring, and an apparently new and improved pressure-sensitive grip pen. Head on past the break for a closer look.

Wacom is one of the few companies making truly awesome peripherals. I adore their stuff.
Since they changed their logo and redesigned their website to be vague-as-hell on the front page... man, that still doesn't sit well with me. The logo is fine but the website doesn't show what they're about at all (as it should on the front page), and is utterly boringly vague...until you dig deeper.

Sorry, just ranting.
Might soon be a good time to go to a wide Intuos 4 to go with my 6x8 Intuos3. Excitement at what they added.
worthless without wireless.
honestly... cordless keyboards, cordless mice... get with it Wacom
They have that, its called the bamboo fun. Besides, if you're doing art/design work, I don't get why you'd need this to be wireless. The only exception I can think of in the current product like is the Cintiq 12 inch, but other than that, you don't really get any sizable benefit from wireless, and you could get lag, which would be terrible for professional users.
I don't get the point of wireless keyboards (unless it's an HTPC, of course, but not on a desktop)
Just because it can be made wireless doesn't mean it should
Looks pretty nice, but owning an Intuos3 and a Cintiq 20WSX, I really don't need a new tablet. Ever.
I'd be pissed if they announced the HD Cintiq tablets though. My new MBP 17" has a higher resolution than it and thats depressing.
I'm a member of Amazon Vine and was offered the Intuos4 today for review. I don't know when I will get it, but it usually takes 3 days to a week. Here is the product description:
"The medium Intuos4 tablet is the most popular and versatile choice among creative professionals. With 48.5 square inches of working area, this tablet provides ample workspace for most tablet users. The medium size is built with eight ExpressKeys and illuminated ExpressKey displays that provide easy reference to your assigned functions. Like all Intuos4 tablets, the Intuos4 medium features Wacom?s new tip sensor technology to deliver an even finer level of control. You can initiate pen pressure control with near-zero starting pressure and a feather-light touch. With 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and 60 degrees of tilt recognition, the Intuos4 pen simulates like never before the natural feel and accuracy of working with traditional brushes, pens, and markers. Improve your workflow and productivity, while enabling creative expression in numerous professional software applications. With the purchase of any Intuos4 tablet, you can participate in the Intuos4 bundled software download program. Intuos4 purchasers are eligible to download the following valuable software applications for free: Wacom Brushes 3.0., Nik® Color Efex Pro? WE6, and Corel® Painter? Sketch Pad. In addition, Intuos4 owners may choose between Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 7 for the PC, Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 6 for the Mac, or Autodesk® SketchBook Express® 2010. Actual offer may vary. Professional photographers, designers and artists agree: Intuos4 pen tablets speed production time for photo editing, design and art creation. When working with digital assets, there isn?t a more natural tool than a pen for increased comfort and control."
Thanks VinerX for the info.
I'm going to sell my Intuos3 right away before its price really drops when Intuos4 actually comes out.
Since the starting price for the Intuos4 is around 199, I wouldn't be surprised to see Intuos3 4x6 drop to around 150 when the new one comes out...
Sell Sell Sell...
Hmm.. Whats up with March 25th?
