CyberPower rolls out Gamer Xtreme 3D desktops

Well, it looks like high-end gaming PC manufacturers are now well and truly on board the 3D bandwagon, with CyberPower only the latest to toss out a couple of systems bundled with some 3D glasses and the necessary hardware to back 'em up. As is their nature, CyberPower is offering both Intel and AMD-based options in the form of the Gamer Xtreme 3D 1000 and Gamer Xtreme 3D 2000, the former of which packs a 2.66GHz Core i7-920 processor, while the later opts for a Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition triple-core CPU. Otherwise, you can expect to get NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 graphics on each, along with a bundled 22-inch Samsung Syncmaster 2233RZ 120Hz LCD monitor, 3D Vision stereoscopic glasses, and some expectedly high-end specs across the board, with the Core i7 rig edging out the AMD in most respects. That also includes price, of course, with the Intel-based system running $1,839, while the AMD-based rig will set you back a more reasonable $1,299.

That thing looks stupid.
No way hipsters. It's awesome. It's Xtreme. It's RADICAL. Fat4lity approved. Gamer-pro... + some other hip-terms to their brand even dumber sounding.
I personally would love a $1,839 blue glowy night light.
Dude, Engadget may make this a Recession Antidote. I'll take it guys.
You look stupid.
doesnt have the X3 triple core basicly mean you have a quad core processor?
I gotta give you full marks ... given your avatar and that comment. Moving along nicely, as has been noted, this is a pic associated with the AMD version. The Intel version has this pic: http://hothardware.com/newsimages/Item9087/CyberPower-Gamer-Ultra-3D-3000.jpg
It's a tragedy that someone wasted human effort on that thing. H I D E O U S ! Who comes up with this crap, and can't we just line up all these tasteless bastards and shoot 'em? Please?
I agree, and I think I've found a solution...http://www.engadget.com/photos/voodoo-omen/
It's from a company called CyberPower. You were expecting Rodin's Thinker?
Z-Man, you're my new BFF ;) ... ust kidding. That box you linked to is vey very nice. I know I saw it before but I forgot it already. Thanks for reminding me. That's beautiful although I have no idea where all the connections are supposed to be made. Wireless? :)
Worth approximately 1250, so no buy @ 1800(Core i7 build w/monitor). And GTS 250 is just a rehashed 9800, and it only takes an hour to assemble one yourself(Including windows install) so I see no point in this.
The other 600 is for the 3D system.
I haven't gamed much at all in the past few years, but the prospect of 3D displays appeals. Are they all they're cracked up to be?
Does it come with a stick to hit it with?
Yes, the ugly stick. But they already hit it for you.
pc-ricer
It's supposed to look like Alien Ware, which is supposed to look... alien.
So if it looks nothing like an Earthly PC should... they've done their job.
You KNOW it's extreme when they leave the 'E' from the beginning!
Presenting the E-clipse iParadigm Xtreme Millennium 2K! It's got stuff!!
Ugly as sin!
IBUYPOWER's offer is a LOT better. Quad core + NVIDIA 260 for $60 more.
Thats worth 1100... not 1860..
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I received my $2000 computer Monday after waiting for a month. It arrived DOA with SysPrep still running. Calls and emails go unanswered. The only response I got was from posting a scathing review on their own forums. I found out I was not alone! They want me to pay to ship the machine back to them when it didn't work to begin with!
Hmm, the lower front is definitly goatsee-esque
@ Everyone:
Engadget chose the WRONG picture, don't blame them.

Now that looks slick.
If Engadget did indeed pick the wrong pic, they owe everyone an apology.
I got butlened by this company a couple years back. They sent me a laptop with a dead backlight and refused to do anything about it until my attorney sent them a letter. Don't buy anything from these jokes.
As always, gaming pc cases look disturbingly bad.
It would be cool to have a tower that was coated in dry-erase board material, so you can draw and doodle all over it haha
Which Transformer is this again?
LMAO, that's the same case I built my work pc out of. That case alone with it's glowing blue light has sold 4 computers in the last 2 weeks and the place I work at has NOTHING to do with computers.
a friend of mine picked up a cyberpowerpc a few years back and has had good luck with it.
I don't know about you guys, but I only buy ugly, LED-laden, "g4m1nG"-branded computers for hardcore gamers such as myself.
