Dexim's Shu-Lip turns your new iPod shuffle into the thumb drive it's dying to be

With the promising intro of "when a shuffle kisses a Mac..." we were hoping for something a bit more exciting, but we suppose Dexim's new Shu-Lip will have to do. In completely straightforward and boring fashion, the Shu-Lip is designed to plug into the end of the new iPod shuffle and transform it from miniscule DAP to completely run-of-the-mill thumb drive, replacing that clunky audio-jack-to-USB dongle that the shuffle comes with. Naturally, with such short notice from Apple, it seems like Dexim merely has the renders and a price locked down so far -- the Shu-Lip will ship for $10 whenever it's ready.

I already have one of these from Incipio. It's basically the exact same thing and Incipio came out with their's in 2006. From their site, it works with the 3G shuffle. Only 7 bucks, free shipping and none of that Pre-order BS.

Yeah, It's neat - but the shuffle is rapidly sidelining itself for the niche market of the jogger and if they can make it that small why not go the whole way and embed it in a pair of neckband headphones.

I'm not a fanboy, but this shuffle is perfect for running clip it on your shirt or shorts. I had a Samsung YP-U2JXB and this shuffle is smaller and lighter than the Samsung.

I see the market for little MP3 players. But not $80 ones. I like Apple, I love my Macbook and my Touch, but do they realize for $20 more you can get a nano with a screen and twice as much space?
