The Nielsen Company presented a cadre of individuals with a list of nice, shiny gadgets and let them cross off anything and everything they'd like to buy in the next six months, and 31 percent of kids 6-12 picked the iPad as one of them.

Personally I think netbooks are a fad. A fad which is going to be slowly pushed out by phones. My netbook is my iPod Touch (would be an iPhone if AT&T didn't suck in my area... and likely will be a Palm Pre as soon as possible). I use a "real" laptop to do gaming and editing and whatever but I can get all of my Twitter, Facebook and Email fixes straight from the iPod Touch. No need for a netbook. Now all Apple needs to do is add a physical keyboard and Flash support.
