EverGreen's Chinese Horoscope MP3 players begin their adorable invasion

Looking for some equally cute alternatives to all the Hello Kitty gear out there? Then you may want to consider these new Chinese Horoscope MP3 players from EverGreen, which sacrifice only a tiny bit of usability for a whole lot of adorability. You will get some actual, if not entirely intuitive, controls on the rear, however, along with an adequate 2GB of storage space, but you'll apparently have to make do with just five hours of play time. Then again, at less than $30 each, you could just collect 'em all and keep the cuteness train rolling for days on end.

Aren't those the homicidal woodland creatures in the Southpark Christmas episode? ;)
I just watched that, haha
*generic new ipod shuffle bashing comment*
Are rabbit and tiger supposed to get along that well?
He's just trying to jump over her, he just can't, that's all you pervert.
THE IPOD KILLER, or not
still cute
apple=coolness over functionality
zune=functionality over coolness
those things=cuteness over everything
i thought they're called zodiac and not horoscope?
In China they probably don't call it zodiac -or- horoscope.
I'm a chinese, i found that its called "Chinese Zodiac" but no any proper noun. But it is truely different from the zodiac which share different days in one year, every one of them on behalf of a year as a group in turn.
And you may learn a new word "shan zhai(山寨)" which is very hot about this kind of gadgets.
:-D
@ Breakfast
No man. It's the tiger, rabbit AND the goat doing the choo-choo train.
I don't really think it's a choo-choo train, man... o_O
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that 3-way going on. Engadget should be ASHAMED of themselves! Children might be reading this! Ba-hahahaha....

...but these are 'adorable'...
...cant engadget even pretend to not be biased...
Those things remind me of this things that you put in the oven for some reason. Then there were little stands to put the things on display. Does anyone else remember those things? They were little pictures of cartoon characters or something. And why the Hell did I have something that needed to be put in the oven at age 3(?)? That must have been why you can't get them any more. Law suits galore!
"Shrinky-Dinks" be the product whose name you seek.
LOL - They were called Shrinky Dinks.
Looking back on it now, I dont even know what the whole point of watching your favorite characters be put in an oven to shrink was all about. But at the time being a 3 year old I thought it was the best thing on earth.
I think they were called Shrinky-Dinks.
That's got a whole new meaning in these days of Viagra etc.
Ah, the '70s, when you could market any sort of highly dangerous or deadly product. Remember lawn darts?
How is it $30? It was like 2800rmb for each player on the link-to site =/
It's like $30. The currency (top right corner) reads JPY. Changing it to USD shows $29.17.
Where's the dragon?
Between the snake and the rabbit. The pink one.
"controls on the rear" - does that mean I have to give the creature a prostate exam to play a song?
It says it's "intuitive", so maybe doing that just increases the volume.
very cute.. may be my little girl like this gear, but for the price..30$.. ? expensive..
