RAmos gets real official with sleek T10 PMP
We thought the RAmos T10 looked better than decent when we first saw it in January, and now that the company has hosted up a real-deal website for it, we're even more in love. The unarguably stylish PMP sports a 4.3-inch WQVGA display (800 x 480), support for practically any audio / video format you can think of, a TV output, between 8GB and 16GB of internal memory, USB 2.0, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. Word on the street has it that this sucker will be loosed in China next month, but who knows how long it'll take to make its way into North America.

That is some sexy shit
thanks for sharing, but i suggest you flush it back where it came from
*no thanks to fixed storage, non-removable, puny size. (even Grandpa laughs at embedded flash now).
* no thanks to fixed battery, apparently non-removable (toss out unit when battery dies after a few hundred charges)? Be lost without power in the middle of a trip? Grandpa's fixed income requires electronics to last longer and his jet-setting lifestyle demands removable batteries.
Yes thanks to FLAC http://flac.sourceforge.net and Ogg Vorbis. http://www.vorbis.com
Grandpa likes encoding to open formats. Grandpa also enjoys the 4.3 inches.
I can tell you are one of those people that are never satisfied, damn CHILL GRANDPA!!

Didnt you just describe iPod Touch?
That's pretty close to the archos 5, when talking about looks anyway.
All I want is,
-something that has a fast processor for 30FPS
-Plays Flash downloaded files from the internet
-Drag and drop USB flash drive interface.
Cowon S9. ... you didn't mention price, hehe
S9 does it all and is lower in price then the iTouch - also plays .AVI Xvid files up to around 650x330.
looks good
"WQVGA display (800 x 480)"
Might wanna fix that.
Ditch the flash memory, not enough storage. honestly all these touchscreen pmps are the same, minor differences that people will squabble over, but really don't make any difference. Put in a hdd with more than 120gb worth of storage, an SD slot, and a USB host port, then we'll talk, otherwise, who cares.
I noticed OTG listed in the specs, which takes care of the USB host aspect, but as a bare minimum the thing needs removable storage. I'm not fond of hard drives, their power-suckage or reliability from shock, etc.
32GB in SD is reasonable now, and will be supercheap 6-12 months from now, along with 64GB dropping in price, yet these things don't even come with a card slot so people can choose how much they want. Flintstones-era primitivity is what fixed storage is, especially if/when it fails. (along with embedded battery)
"unarguably stylish" - style is so obviously a subjective preference that this is one of the worst uses of the word, "unarguably". You might have well have said that "Brown is inarguably the worst colour" or, "Windows XP is indisputably the best OS".
what no touchscreen wifi browser,8 browser, windows, accelerometer, ambient lite sensor,no email client,no google maps,no app store! its missing 20,000 apps,,no speaker,no streaming radio, options,no 30 pin dock connector,no voip calling.ugghh,i need to stop.
Major fail, add this to guaranteed to fail product list,it might have a chance in a third world country. In usa it will not survive,we americans are spoiled when it comes to pmp.,
this shouldnt be priced over $99. Its not worth more than that ,no wifi browser.,etc.,falls very short of modern day expectations.
where teh hell are the 500gig players? 16 gigs!? this is such shit..
Looks like a Storm...
Archos is way better
Same form factor has the Archos 5 and 5-20 times less storage capacity.. what's the point ?
flash memory in such a big form factor isn't good..
Let's see the price but for the moment it blows....
it takes around 10 business days to ship it from hongkong to USA
Looks a little like the storm in the form factor.
