Tethering what? It is an ipod touch, not the phone. The phone can bridge the cellular connection to the wifi and act as a wifi hotspot but what would be the point of tethering something to a touch? Anyway, the tethering apps have all been banned so (once again) you need to hack your Apple device to get it to do something other devices have been doing for years.
i have been able to tether my ipod touch since it came out.. with my sprint Mogul. hell iv tethered my laptop to my phone for a moneth straight with no problems .
its called WMWIFIROUTER..this is nothing new. if ur phone has wifi then tether away. i guess if u must use BT then this will come in handy.. But screw you APPLE. ill be waiting for the hack to upgrade to all the features thats been out for years on other devices.
That'll work if you're carrying around a WinMob device. Personally, I'd rather not let one of those anywhere near my pocket. Not to mention the severe impact on battery life that WiFi tethering has. Also, BT is present on almost every dumbphone released since God-knows-when.
Tethering would be by far the most useful application of bluetooth on the ipod touch. I wonder if GPS info from the phone could be used for location-based apps as well?

Let the tethering commence?

neodorian,
The idea is to tether the touch to a phone(with bluetooth) to get internet on the touch. You have it backwards.
50 bucks on the impossibility of that for each one you bet on a yes. I'll cover it up to the cost of iPod Touch plus the 10 USD of the "upgrade"
