ASUS EeeBox PC B208 with dual-core Atom and HD 4350 graphics un-announced

Funny. After making a brief appearance on ASUS' website, its top-end EeeBox PC B208 disappeared. Fortunately, there's Google cache. The B208 trumps ASUS' B206 by slapping a dual-core, 1.6GHz Atom 330 processor into the slim, monitor-riding slab as well as 256MB of ATI Radeon Hd 4350 graphics. That should help make the most of the built-in HDMI port and 320GB hard disk (plus 4x USB 2.0) should you like to use the little guy as a make-shift 802.11n / gigabit Ethernet media server (buzzing along at 26dB) on your home network. No price given but we expect it to pop for less than 500 bucks, eventually.

The eeeBox B208 vs the new Minis:
The Mini excels in CPU, can serve as both a desktop and a media center.
On the other hand the B208 can serve only as a media center.

I plan to get both of them :)

Hello,
Does someone know where/when can we buy this model. I'm in Paris i cannot find it here.
I plan to replace my TV and my old PC for this eeebox and a 24" Iyama LCD hdmi monitor.
It could be a good deal for me as i am not a gamer...
I like the idea of Green IT...

It is like we care about the thousand LCD product lines Sony has in the market, that 6 month lead time for another iteration of the same model that adds a functionality that should be there in the first place... those things that remind me of Apple a bit
