Engadget's recession antidote: win a BeBook e-reader!

Special thanks to BeBook for providing the gear!
The rules:
- Leave a comment below. Any comment will do, but if you want to share your proposal for "fixing" the world economy, that'd be sweet too.
- You may only enter this specific giveaway once. If you enter this giveaway more than once you'll be automatically disqualified, etc. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.)
- If you enter more than once, only activate one comment. This is pretty self explanatory. Just be careful and you'll be fine.
- Contest is open to anyone in the 50 States, 18 or older! Sorry, we don't make this rule (we hate excluding anyone), so be mad at our lawyers and contest laws if you have to be mad.
- Winner will be chosen randomly. The winner will receive one BeBook e-reader. Approximate value is $299.99.
- If you are chosen, you will be notified by email. Winners must respond within three days of the end of the contest. If you do not respond within that period, another winner will be chosen.
- Entries can be submitted until Tuesday, March 17th, 11:59PM ET. Good luck!
- Full rules can be found here.

I'm fascinated by the problem of working ebook readers of this sort into the functions of a public library. It'd be easier to think about if I actually had one.

That's pretty cool...
Living in filth
I don't know about the world, as I have been listening more to the debacle in the U.S. it's hard to imagine a solution coming from giving money to certain enterprises and leaving out others. What's even more discouraging is the way in which the monies are handed over, often times, and seemingly without regard to their use until afterwards when public outrage forces those in power to reconsider their moves. Sadly it feels as if some of the voiced thoughts in the government sound oddly undemocratic in the effort to save the economy. It would be a terrible and drastic day to give up ones support of a system in leiu of another for the continued support of a system which has become flawed due to economic crysis. I do think that this is the time for the banks to take more accountability for the services they offer especially in the housing market, and to find ways to remedy the problems aggressive lending has lead to. A series of checks and balances should apply to all, and possibly in the future, extend beyond the government.
seems nice.
