RAmos T10 in the wild, hanging out with iPhones, PSPs and blood diamonds
We knew the upcoming T10 from RAmos was quite a lot of hotness, with that 4.3-inch 800 x 480 screen in particular winning it a sizable portion of our hearts, but now the player is out and about getting glamour shots with its sexy friends. The T10 seems to acquit itself quite well on the design front up against folks like the iPhone 3G and the PSP, but we'll have to wait and see if that generic interface will make this PMP worth having.

It's really purdy along side the psp but the iphon that's just fugly.
Fusion Fuzo, Mr. Proffessional, is that you?
I think the PSP looks the best, the iphon the worst.
I am not fond of crApple, but your exaggerating a little bit. i do like the PSP better as a gaming machine than the diephone. But PSP is not sexier.
you're just haterz/jealous
Wow, they had the Mc.nuggets to copy the Cowon S9...
just look at that side bezel...
Except this is a real movie player, while the S9 has a shitty (same as PSP) 480x272 resolution.
Except the screen is an inch smaller, that means MUCH higher pixel density, that is what matters after all. Why don't you try looking up the facts before you bash...
-"yo you see that DSi last night??"
-"fo sho! that thing was sooo fine!"
-"i would totally hit that!"
The DSi sucks because of lack of backwards compatibility, have fun NOT playing your old games on it.....FAIL
thats what my hacked psp is for actually.....
Playing DS games on a PSP isn't that nice due to the lack of a touchscreen.
Hacked psp don't you mean homebrewed or pandora'd psp. Also you just admitted to piracy....
@aguilaz... i believe by backwards compatibility he meant gameboy advance... which my psp does twice as well in my opinion
@soopergooman... why yes thats exactly what i mean. just so happens to be called "hacked" as well :). and yes i have admitted to piracy. and as i sit here enjoying this pokemon platinum rom thats been leaked a few days ahead on my ds lite i must ask... what will nintendo/obama/my mom/grandmom/great grandmom/this box of poptarts on my desk do to me for it?
@aguiluz: I believe that he was talking about PSOne games on the PSP.
I like trevor, he hacks psp and doesn't afraid of anything.
Well, the poptarts are likely to kill you. The others? Not as much.
Hahaha blood diamonds! How funny! Wait, that's not funny at all. Right up there with the soup kitchen depression pics, guys. Is your editor out sick again?

I've been looking for some time now, for a really affordable PMP that will play all of my video content while I'm waiting at some airport or while I'm commuting with a bus! And now my search is over! I love the Audio/Video codecs that are supported, and love that it comes with DaVinci CPU! The only downside is the really generic interface, that can be seen on some of the photos on the Chinese site of RAmos.
BUT! Both Engadget and PMP Today have missed one really important detail - the price tag! It says on RAmos' site that the 8GB version is going to retail at 799 CNY, which if I am not very mistaken is approximately 109 USD or about 84 EUR!
I know that there are those of you who do not like the limited 8GB/16GB memory, and the built-in battery, but at that price - puhlease! I can afford to buy new player every week!
IMHO, this is one very affordable player, for a non-very-pretentious crowd! I'm buying mine at the Chinese eBay - TaoBao.
The specs on paper look very good - MKV support, h264, AC3, 720p support.
flac support!
Picky, I know, but them ain't diamonds.
At least its better looking than the oh so uber clunky G1 Android.
Blood diamonds? Some geek you are. Those are 8-, 12-, and 20-sided dice. Clearly these are intended to act as D&D supplemental devices.
Matters to whom, scientists with microscopes? This device has a 4.3 inch screen with a 800x480 resolution, which is higher than a native DVD picture. 60-inch plasmas output 1080 vertical lines, which is only twice as many as this tiny screen. Making the screen an inch smaller is not a benefit to the person who will be watching a movie on this device, even if you increase pixel density by x1000. In other words, this screen is fine.
