HOLY CRAP! I just got this phone, NO CONTRACT, UNLOCKED, and FREE (after rebate)! Oh, and I pay $29.99 a month for service along with $15.00 for data.

This is the future of the phone (data) companies! So make your voice heard and leave those contracts and insane ideas that "voice" and "text" are not just data flowing over an IP network. I for one welcome our new open and free technological overlords.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.
