EA bundling Wii MotionPlus add-on with tennis game in Europe?

We'd already heard that Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus controller add-on was at least loosely tied to the launch of EA's Grand Slam Tennis game, but it now looks like the two may be even more closely linked than previously thought. According to a listing on Amazon.de, the add-on will actually be available in a bundle with the game (in Europe, at least), which will set you back €53.99, or just over $70, when it launches on July 2nd. As Joystiq speculates, however, this move could also be just the excuse Nintendo has been looking for to delay its own Wii Sports Resort game, which itself was supposed to come bundled with MotionPlus add-on but has been largely missing in action since its debut at E3 last year.

O RLY?
Why bother? You can play Touchsports Tennis on the iPhone for $5 and you can play it anywhere. $70 for one game seems a little steep in this economy.
You forgot to include the price of an iPhone and the monthly service charge in your calculations. Oh, and how's the multiplayer on Touchsport Tennis?
the Wii is the biggest PS3 ripoff ever
Yes, because they look totally alike, their controllers are even more similar and they both have the same great games.
Oh sorry, the PS3 is quite bigger to accommodate the better tech, the controller is arguably more holding-friendly and has the better games.
(PS, I'm quite certain you're just trolling, but just incase you aren't...)
my sarcasm sense is tingling
I love wii tennis, I can't wait for this!!!
can I move my player around with nunchuck now?
Wait - that can't be a picture of a Wii game; the character has actual arms and legs! Naaaah - couldn't be.
Is it me, or is that little tennis ball smiling?
It's just you...never seen a tennis ball close up (ish) before?
Yes well it DOES look like it's got an evil grin at first glance. Upon further inspection you see that the ball is green and...red? What is this?!
i think it just might be.....
Hmm.
Lets assume the Wii expands to make the fit board and motion plus a requirement for most games.
2 player Wii configuration
Wii: $250
Fit: $90
1 controller, nunchuk: $60
2 MotionPlus: $60
$460
That would be a pretty odd assumption...
never going to happen, specially as a requirement for all games. Nintendo included the Zapper and the Power PAD in a NES SKU, and never made a game that used all of them, why?
Because it would be too crazy.
Maybe if you are thinking about a One-man-band game, I would understand why any developer would ask for so many controllers at the same time.
I do not think people will buy a Wii because of motion plus sensor.
Your eyes suffer when you play Wii with a large screen TV.
You become a microscope and you can read the pixels.
Yes, EA is releasing two games Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 and Grand Slam Tennis on the same date as Motion Plus launch. That's good news since the sports resort is scheduled for it's release more than a month later. So we don't have to be twiddling our thumbs waiting for Wii Sports Resort to check out the Motion Plus in action. Hope it helps me to achieve a perfect golf swing.
