have been using a Mintpad since last November and have been extremely happy with it. I bought it from Korea when it launched. I have used many PDAs including Palm Pilot, Palm III, Sony Clie, and Dell Axim x50v and like the Mintpad best. I can carry it anywhere (this device is the tiniest of all), take pictures, and make memos. And I use this to watch live tv streaming services. Best $140 I have ever spent in my life (if you are not a PDA type person, you might not like it).
One more thing. This tiny device can play most video files without re-encoding. I love the Mintpad than the iPod touch just for this reason.
BTW, the maker, mintpass, has already upgraded the firmware of the Mintpad 8 times. They added new features almost twice every month. The Mintpad has better UI now than the one you see in the YouTube clip above. I have never seen the company who reflects the opinions of users that fast. Every time I show this device to my friends in the States, they all are crazy about it. I do not think this device will be big like an iPod, however, if you are a reader of Engadget, you'll love it a lot.
And the Mintpad looks awesome if you see it in your eyes. If it is released in US, I would buy one more for my kid.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
