'Let's Pizza' machine cooks you a pie in three minutes, won't ask you to enter any contests

Bob Bibleman has had bad luck with technology lately. The last time a robot cooked for him he found himself involved in some sort of quasi-military intrigue, and his robot lawnmower sure seems like it's up to something. But when ol' Bob ran across a report in the Times (UK) that a venerable Italian gentleman named Claudio Torghele had invented "Let's Pizza" -- a machine that makes pizza from scratch, in three minutes -- he decided to give technology one more chance. The device sports a glass window through which you can watch the machine mix and knead the dough, spin it into shape, add the sauce and toppings, and cook it to perfection. A pie will run you about €3.50 (or just under five bucks), and the machine is due to hit the streets sometime this summer. Now that Mr. Bibleman has that sorted out, maybe he'll be brave enough to let technology help him with other areas of his life -- we hear that JDate's really something.

Where can I buy one? :)
I'd be so fat and broke if there was one of those in my area.
It probably has one of those machines Starbucks have these days. The store my gf works in has one. It microwaves, bakes, and one other thing, toast maybe, all at the same thing. It makes a perfect breakfast sandwich from frozen in 50 seconds.
With a name like that, shouldn't he be selling books door to door or something?
"Excuse me, can I tell you about my religion?"
*SLAM*
I want one in my kitchen. Maybe my fiancee will let me put it on our wedding registry =)
YOUR FIANCEE!!!! Wow, he is a lucky man.
Oh man. This is really something. There's no turning back for humanity now, were going to get fatter and fatter without stopping it.
Durr didnt tombstone start making these machines several years ago?
Am I missing something? A pizza isn't a pie..
The Earth is round. Round. There are land masses on it other than North America. Can you say, "Europe?" How about, "Australia?"
I am Australian mate... =/
I concluded Americans call a pizza a pie or something crazy. I certainly do not were using Pizza and Pie interchangeably.. Anyway, a pizza has nothing on a good meat pie!
You're right, a pizza is not a pie.

"Pizza Pie" is sometimes used in a slang sort of way.
Plus there is a song that goes:
"When the moon hits your eye
Like a big pizza pie,
That's Amore" (Amore meaning love in italian of course)
In "Let's Pizza", which is the noun, and which is the verb? Is that an abbreviation or a contraction? I'm confused. Let doesn't sound like a name, but Pizza isn't mean to be a verb.
"Have you tried Let's Pizza?" vs. "Let's pizza all night long!"
Let us Pizza!
Let and Pizza are the verbs and us is the noun... I think
"Bob Bibleman has had bad luck with technology lately."
Must be the name.
Bibleman, Bibleman,
doing whatever the Bible can
Picture on the right:
"Yeah thats right bitches, its a motherfucking pizza"
"It's a motherfucking soggy pizza."
That's what she said.
Put a few in the dorm and you'll ruin all the restaurants around campus.
Dude, you just gave out a brilliant idea
Isn't Bibleman some kind of Christian superhero?
so 3 minutes. this is efficiant how? granted 3 minutes for a pizza is quick no doubt about it. But you think that if these get put into schools like every other vending machine does, how many do you think they would need to keep a school of say 5000(extremely low for a university or college in larger cities) fed for a lunch hour. What amount of heat would these things have to produce? Im sure the cost of the electricity bill on the machines behalf is compensated for in the price of the pizza. But theoretically speaking would the cost of air conditioning a proper eating facility for the students not cost a fortune? Or is that made up for with the fact that in the winter they would never have to turn on the heat so long as those machines are running.
This wouldn't be useful for lunch hour or any serious volume- but it *would* be awesome to have if you were working late and everything nearby was closed- I'd take a pizza machine dinner over chips from a vending machine easily
The lunch lady can't spoil my lunch anymore!
Somebody already though of this...

Bring 20 (for outside dorms as well as outside classes for quickie lunches while running to class) to University of Southern California, let us use our student meal plans, and we will make you very, very rich.
It's true - USC stands for the University of Spoiled Children =D
this kills Kramer's idea
Noble Roman's (Yay!! and Yum!) has had some automated pizza cooker/vend for some time now.

I have never seen one, though.
Ok maybe it was a test but we had this machine when I was at Brown in 2005 in the basement of Fraunce house. I distinctly remember voting for it on student council. So if by "hit the street in summer" you mean years ago well then maybe yes.
SWEET! lol
I used to own "gourmet" coffee vending machines. The machines would grind the beans, mix in, milk, chocolate whatever you wanted and it was delicious. If I did not clean those things every 3 days they would smell like something died in there. I cannot imagine how much maintenance would be required of a product that uses 2 "alive" ingredients, old yeasty dough pieces and clogged cheese, let alone the bits of pepperoni that will get stuck in the crevices. I am sure that this would be great as a supplement to a cafeteria, where someone can get to it regularly. But I would not use it if had been just dropped somewhere.
I want the consumer model (Back to the Future 2)
FINALLY! I thought nobody was gonna make a BTTF reference..
I read this story last night and then I had a dream about it last night. I was working at a grocery store and they had one of these and I got a pizza for my break. I also had to change a lot of light bulbs.
Boy you boy, mom, you sure can hydrate a pizza.
Why is this a big deal? If you go to YouTube and search for "pizza machine" you find a handful of other vending machines that do the EXACT SAME THING. Apparently, there is nothing new about this concept.
It was said that this thing uses infra-red heating elements to bake the Pizza. I use these in my job to dry a wet paper sheet flying by at 70km/h. Baking that Pizza crispy in under a minute would be no problem whatsoever... And MAN do I want...sidewalk in front of my house would be nice
They are forgetting one thing - an ice-cold beer vending machine next to it... other then that it's an amazing feat of modern technology.
Oh my god! Send some to Kansas so I can eat something other than a 24 hour mcdonalds.
