I think this is a great idea. My parents still keep tons of photo albums around from way back.
Which fades first, the ink from the photos or the memory in an SD card? SD cards are so cheap now, it's about the same price to buy an SD card for each of your albums as it is to print them (of course you don't have a physical print). But, if you had one of these albums you could keep a CD case of SD cards around and slap 'em in. :)
