Palm announcement coming later today?

We don't know what it'll be, but Palm is teasing an announcement for later today. As stated on the official Palm blog:"check back later today (or follow palm_inc on Twitter) for an update direct from the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco."Palm assures us that this isn't some kind of lame April Fools. As such, we're hoping for a release date (by country) and price or at the very least a free, general release of the Mojo SDK. Whatever it is, you'll find the details here just as soon as they are announced.
Its now official, OBAMA gives up his blackberry for the palm pre.

now i know real reason y iphone price $600 or $700 now. They hopin sprint will try to justify there price ,say $399, by saying look at iphone it cost $700. Your getting a deal with sprint at $400.,just sayin.,.,.,if that thing is priced over $99,add to guarantedd to fail product list here in america..

I may be way off base here, but I think people are over-reacting to the Sprint thing. Unless it has changed since the last update I read, the Pre is not a sprint exclussive, Sprint just gets it first, I think it said 6 month exclusivity (I will see if I can find the link). That is no where near as bad as the iPhone being locked down to AT&T. If this phone lives up to the hype, it will still be massively popular in 6 months anyway. Although that is way too long for me to wait, Ive been holding out on getting a new phone since I first read about this one!
Can this be true? Just finished watching the TV show 24 on FOX. Now this show has been using sprint phones on the show for a while. They had a commercial tonight about #s and at the end of it they said 4G coming soon, after they showed the 4G... They showed the Palm Pre... WOW!!! could the pre be 4G? Is that why they are taking forever to release it? Plus during the show, they showed what looked like an instinct, but doing video phone calls. I heard a rumor that there is a new instinct coming out and I know with 4G, there is the possibility to do video calls with the 12mb download speeds!!! Can this be????
