Dell's 21.5-inch SX2210 monitor now available to order

In Dell's usual roundabout way of launching non-luxury products, this new SX2210 monitor first appeared on the company's website with little fanfare last month, but it looks like it's now actually available to order, and for the very reasonable of price of $279 (before the inevitable flood of discounts). That'll get you 21.5 inches of screen real estate, along with a full 1920 x 1080 resolution, a fast 2-millisecond grey-to-grey response time, a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, both HDMI and DVI ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and even a built-in 2 megapixel webcam that supports facial recognition in Windows Vista. Sold? Then hit up the link below to get your order in.

thanks boom. I'll check into the 245T i like samsung for the most part. You can keep your crt, that goes next to my lacie and I lose all of my workspace and sanity.
I looove my 245T. Gorgeous monitor.
Huh? You want a 22" 16:9 and a 22" 16:10? I'd guess this is designed to be the same width as a 22" 16:10, which makes _sense_ -- you get the same dot pitch. (Unfortunately, there were only one or two 22" 1920x1200 displays made... but if you got one, it makes sense.)
Reply fail, meant for FILA above...
REPLY FAIL CONFIRMED.
the funny thing is that the blog actually has good shit on it...
More TN garbage from Dell. I'll stick with my Apple LED Cinema Display, thank you very much.
The Cinema Display sets new benchmarks for monitor performance, I use it for 3D Graphics, gaming, and graphic design and I love it.
Ya and you probably paid some ridiculous price for it. How about comparing stuff in the same price range?
Great endorsement Frank Rossi (or should I say iKurt III? - profile link). I'm sure Apple just loves people like you.
The cinema display use same panels as Dell but for twice the price and less connections. Check your fact. Oh, and now its glossy, mean your color are wrong.
I bought an Apple Cinema display after being insured it should work with my Macbook Pro - (model before the new 17" one piece refresh) - which after an afternoon of frustration and purchasing different cables I was told buy by geniuses had to be returned since the LED monitor cannot be connected to a Macbook Pro by any standard means (and Apple doesn't seem to be working on any adaptors soon)... and for quite a bit cheaper, less frustration, and hdmi support, it's looking really attractive right about now.
When the hell is the new 3009WFP coming out?
Very happy with my 3007 here!! Best screen ever (except 3008!)
I've been wondering about that myself. I hope the 3009WFP adds LED backlighting and sells for under $2000, but maybe I'm just dreaming.
Wish this had a VESA mount. If it did i could replace my crappy Sceptre.
i'm glad dell are giving more or a care to design these days..
nice to move away from the old dull dell stereotype..

Seriously, I don't know when Dell hired some decent designers, but I'm glad they did. Their new product line looks so much better than the last one.
Anyone know if they are going to come out with a 24" version of this monitor?
