Anyone know if there's a flat screen comparable to a crt in terms of color? I'm an artist and most of my artist friends say you need a crt for print colors. I don't know the differences technically but I have a small lcd next to my crt and I'd like to just get two 22'' flats.
safe route= apple monitors. never have to worry about color, but lacks in connections/features. dell(WFP series ONLY)= very useable for design work, not too tough to calibrate
samsung 245T- damn near perfect panel, but a BEEYACH to calibrate on a mac.
CRT- doesn't matter anymore, obsolete. your friend is probably a classic designer, just talking about the old lcd cant produce accurate color argument. that was an issue years ago, no one cares now.
point is, go cheap, and you will suffer. get 2 samsung screens with a .25/26 dot pitch and double up. read reviews thoroughly. or else, i have a 50lb crt monitor that im sending to your address right now pal
thanks boom. I'll check into the 245T i like samsung for the most part. You can keep your crt, that goes next to my lacie and I lose all of my workspace and sanity.
While its tablet world topping pixel density, Tegra 2 silicon, and fresh to death OS certainly sound awesome, we had to get our grubby mitts on one to see if it's as good as its spec sheet would have us believe.
