Lolwut? I don't know where in the UK you are, but everywhere I've been, there are intersections. They can usually be recognised when having to stop to turn onto another road..

I believe this to be a reference to another difference between what Americans call something and its correct term.
Yes in England we just have one windy cobbled road that takes you everywhere. :)
