Sidekick 2009, HTC Snap and Touch Pro2 dated for T-Mobile?

The gang at TmoNews have it from a "trusted source" what's purported to be a list of tentative release dates for nearly a dozen T-Mobile phones. At the top on that list is the Sidekick 2009 (a.k.a. "Blade") for May 13th, followed by heavy hitters HTC Snap and HTC Rhodium (Touch Pro2) for July 1st / 22nd, respectively. Rounding out the list is a pre-paid Nokia 1661 for April 29th, a mysterious Sony Ericsson CS8 for June 24th, six Samsung T-series phones all debuting between May 6th and August 19th, and a big, fat "TBD" for the HTC Magic (Sapphire). Don't think these dates as gospel, but with less than six weeks until Blade's rumored to hit retail, we'll know soon enough if this list has any credence

omnia hd will take another three-four years to arrive (if it does at all)

the reason? us infrastructure sucks. koreans are moving onto 4th gen (wimax and so forth) and we still have apple touting their 3g phone as if they invented 3g techonology. (though i must say app store is pretty damn awesome) no video chats capability on us network means no videochat capable phones like omnia hd, and even newer hapticpop (and lg's take lollipop phone)

i'm gonna get omnia in the summer when my contract ends

If the design works, what's the problem with other companies using it? From the consumer's standpoint, anyway, all it means are more choices and potentially cheaper products. (Not necessarily good from the initial manufacturer's standpoint, I guess, but I don't own stock in any cellphone manufacturers so I don't care)

I'm sorry, how does this thing look anything like the Bold or the Curve? Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the design, I'm just saying there's no resemblance to any Blackberry device I've ever seen. Too bad, really.

He's just referring to the fact that it has a QWERTY keyboard with the screen above it and the buttons bbetween them. As far as general shape goes, hen yes it's that same as a blackberry curve/bold. But in all seriousness you can't say that it's a cheap ripoff just because it has the same body style.

Oh my god, this is T's summer right here, I want the G2 out to play with before I make my decision on the G1, I kno I kno, Im moving backwards but if its the same hardware except QWERTY Im goin with the G1 cuz Cupcake will be released for it when the G2 comes. I wanna play with that SideKick and I wanna see that Rhodium, although Im not to satisfied with the Windows running on it, but mayeb I'll be surprised, I cant wait!!!!

Noo the G2 is coming within the next 2 quarters most likely. The HTC Magic was shown in the FCC for T-Mobile. also if you go to TmoNews you'll see in the leaked dates its listed and is coming but has a TBD beside it. Thou I did hear about the G3 coming to, which supposedly has a QWERTY on that round, so I dont know. I wanna get the G1 in July but so many things coming out Im scared to you know.

Don't worry, AT&T will have it too, just not by the end of July.

The US carriers waited a few months on the Touch Pro, so are behind in their product cycles for the TP2 except for Tmob, who hasn't has a slide out winmo phone in a few decades seemingly.

I think the big product reveal my HTC was a not-so-subtle message to US carriers to pick up their phones more quickly, as I imagine interest in the original touch pro has taken a serious hit now that many are waiting for the TP2 and telling their friends to do the same.

dang it! just when i switch to verizon for the samsung omnia, tmobile gets a slew of kick ass htc phones. i had the shadow and loved it. i just wanted a bigger, faster windows mobile phone.

I don't mind the TP I have now. I'd like to have the Rhodium manila on it though. It should be in the works.
