well josh, some people use it a lot. and it's not like it's even a remotely complicated feature: you take a picture, fraction of a second later you take another one, and another, and another, and string them together. not sure why it took apple almost two years to get this completely standard feature out. video isn't just standard for smartphones. it's standard for any phone with a camera.
oh, and saying "winblows" makes you look like a moron.
if some people value taking video so highly, some people shouldn't have gotten the iphone to start with...there's nothing i hate more than people who know what they are getting into, then bitch about it later - it's your own fault...and if you still got the phone anyway and couldn't deal, jailbreaking has been an option for a long time

1. i never said i personally needed video. i said some people. and maybe those people thought the iphone was still worth it even though it didn't have video capability. but do they not have a right to complain? any product has plenty of room for improvement. also, i don't feel like jailbreaking because then i have less to worry about.

"boring grainy phone videos?" lol the iphones pictures are hardly any better than my old RAZR's .3 MP cam. the iphone has one of the worst cameras of any smartphone, if you can call it that. and who said they have to upload to youtube? maybe they just want to put them on facebook for just friends to see.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.

I thought Apple had video. Wow...so, everytime I shot video using my HTC, an iPhone user behind me has been lusting (in quite) my phone's capability.
