Wall-E case mod is chock full of adorableness, win
Just look into those cute, bubbly eyes and tell us that you'd still rather keep your plain-jane tower if offered this instead. We know, you can't. While we've seen a number of Wall-E mods over the months, we've never seen anything close to this in terms of sheer incredibleness. So far as we can tell, this robotic PC even opens up his own optical drive, and he can also send out love letters to one "Eeeevvvaaaaa" without human intervention. A thing of beauty, no?

[Thanks, Doug]

But he was an oldschool mac, not a pc
Please tell me there's a webcam in at least one of those eyes.
So Wall-E can watch you jack off?
sorry, doesn't look like it. that would've been genius.
Thats fraking awesome. I'd love to have something like that.
Me too! I wonder what this guy's job is... he should be making props in Hollywood!
The craftsmanship in that thing is unbelievable...
My full tower weighs in at about 25lbs. With all that machined aluminum I'm curious how much it weighs.
I wonder if he makes the Apple chime startup noise :)
I can no longer turn on my MacBook without thinking of WALL•E :D
Definitely full of win. I'd want a smaller, non-casemod version programmable via USB... basically more than a plastic toy sold by Disney (think http://www.plen.jp/). I'd pay over 1k for something like that.
Yes I'm a gadget-geek.
you've come to the right website.
you're a gadget geek?
join the club. there's no queue for it in cyberspace!
That's some amazing detail.
That is really cool.
awww that thing is so cute! do want!
I would pay almost any amount of money for that.
that was really amazing, he made everything.... like even the lenses for the eyes..... That guy has an amazing gift.
My hat's off to him.
I agree. He cut absolutely everything out of blocks or sheets of aluminum. It seems like it would have taken over a hundred hours. His dedication to precision and quality really is amazing.
...If you ever wondered why the Soviet engineering was such a threat during the Cold War, you now have your answer.
hahaha. He's got ridiculous skills
can we stop saying 'win' after everything. it's annoying.
But win is a word chock full of awesomeness, win.
garbage
....is what Wall-E was cleaning up for us.
I'm just hoping that was a simple joke about WALL-E's job...
You're a waste of molecular space. Go do everyone a favor and off yourself. The decomposition of your body will provide much more use to fungus and wildlife than your very existence as it stands.
I don't think this is garbage. I really like this case, it's amazing!
But I do think that PoisonWolf's comment is garbage since it's totally disrespectful.
i think GB's sense of humor is garbage
Cool!
Funny, the movie led me to believe Wall-E is Mac-powered. ...
That is what I was thinking. Since Pixar was started by Steve Jobs, and he is a current board member, this makes me believe it more (that and the apple sound when Wall-E get turned on...). On the other hand this thing is beautiful, and you can always add the mac boot up sound to it.
Jony Ive helped Pixar design Eve. http://money.cnn.com/2008/05/09/technology/siklos_walle.fortune/index.htm (CNN should really learn how to get names right)
@johnwesleyharding
wow, comment is so full of fail
for the last time, Pixar was NOT started by Steve Jobs. It was started by Lucasfilm with the hiring of Dr. Ed Catmull and had years and years of existence before Steve Jobs bought the company
Actually if you really watched the movie...wall-e does boot up with a mac sound.
if wall-e is a mac, then wheres the light confirming hes off?
Incredible piece of metal worksmanship! I like the that towards the end of the build, he decided to enlarge the eyes of WALL.E as it looked smaller than the original WALL.E. Brilliant craftsmanship!
Well... I just bought a Wall-E action figure at the disney store. And I really want the remote control EVA.
This would go with it pretty well.... =)
Without a doubt that is the most amazing and detailed case mod I have seen in years. The guy kept renders and measured out each piece. It's enough to make any animator/machinist/geek proud. Kudos dude, Kudos.
WE NEED VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does it sound like a Mac when it boots?
It'd need to to be complete. Given the amount of effort and love put into this I would not be surprised at all.
I laughed so hard I cried when I heard that Wall-E starts to the Mac boot up sound. Simply genius.
Drop Mac guts in that case (for the start-up chime if nothing else) and it would be the best computer ever. Very cool case mod!
When this case mod starts to twitter, then I will VC mass production
chunk it into a change room, and we're good to go!
Well, I for one am beyond impressed, especially after clicking through the creation process.
do people really win here?
Game cube NEVER looked smarter!!!!
So he made one of the best looking cases I've ever seen, but uses the most ugly monitor with it. (See last page)

i want to kick it like a soccer ball.
Cute! Reminds me of Johnny 5 from Short Circuit!
