Microsoft ushers in spring with new Zune Originals designs

How much Zune can you handle? It's a question few have asked, and even fewer have answered. Microsoft seems to be unafraid of such conundrums, however, and it has now fearlessly introduced a new collection of Zune Originals designs in a day filled with Zune rumors. I absolutely adore the zune originals concept. There have been a ton of artists that I've known and followed that have had their art featured on the back of a zune. The main problem continues to be...Its a zune.

I really wish that you'd see apple take this concept and run with it.

I hate it. I believe and truly, truly hope that is completely fake. That back is way too ipod touch-esqe. Microsoft may have don't similar designs to what Apple has done before, but this is way too close, they cant possibly be that dumb. It really looks like someone just found an existing pic of an ipod touch and changed the logo.

Nice graphics, but then you're still stuck with a player that nobody wants, has terrible resale value & that's full of DRMed songs. Knowing MS lord knows what else they've included to limit the entertainment value of this zune.

terrible resale? my first gen zune is now owned by my father, which is running the latest firmware.
how many iPods or other MP3 players have the latest ui on 3 year old devices?
and $15 for our 3 zunes / computers sure is a ripoff....

I think Microsoft still don't get it after all this years. It is the user experience that is also part of the appeal of a gadget. Fancy designs dun count. Innovative ones do. Look at the latest shuffle....IT TALKS BACK......Get it Microsoft....for that matter Creative too and all the others banged up excuse for a PMP......

you can buy individual songs, music videos and tv shows. with the zune pass you also get 10 free songs per month so if u cancel your pass you get can keep those songs and whatever else you bought individually. where did u get your facts from?

Stop beating the horse. It's dead. It was never living. Throwing money at the dead horse will not bring it magically to life.

M$ needs to get a life and realize they cannot *do everything* simply because they can throw money at it. Focus on building a stable, secure OS for home/business/server and making good office software. That's their prime market anyway.
